Episode 7: Staying Alive

Patrick and the others were watching as Pierce and Big Eatie continued brawling.

Sammy put her hand over her mouth while Patrick glared at the compound.

"How could we let this happen?" Yaz asked.

Pierce roared in pain as Big Eatie bit his leg. He tried to run but was stopped by the drones.

"Why isn't Darius stopping this?" Sammy asked in worry.

"There were a bunch of BRADs, we had to take cover." Kenji explained.

"We lost sight of Kash." Brooklyn said.

"Alright, we have no choice." Patrick said. He jumped up and began climbing a tree confusing the others. "We're going to take these drones down. It's a long shoot but hopefully that'll give Pierce enough time to escape."

Patrick notched an arrow before shooting one of the drones down.

"Nice shot!" Sammy yelled. Suddenly before Patrick could shoot down another drone, Pierce hit The Rex with his tail.

Big Eatie grabbed the spike on Pierce's leg. The Kentrosarus groaned in pain as the Rex stood over him.

"No!" Sammy yelled.

"Come on, get up!" Brooklyn yelled.

Before Big Eatie could finish off the Kentrosarus the drones flew infront of the Rex forcing her to back away. She walked backwards onto a giant platform. Two BRADs ran towards her and released a sedative gas.

"Why'd Kash stop it?" Yaz asked looking up at Patrick. The archer just stared forward at nothing, clearly unfocused. "Patrick?"

"Huh?" Patrick asked turning to her.

"You, okay?" Yaz asked.

Patrick looked down.

"I know where I've seen this place before." Patrick revealed. 

Before Yaz could question him, the doors opened. Kash walked out with Darius close behind him. The two walked towards the unconscious T. rex. Kash laughed smugly and put his foot on her jaw.

Patrick glared at the man with hate.

"Patrick?" Sammy asked.

Suddenly the hatch began to lower the two down somewhere below the compound. 

"We need to go talk to Mae" Brooklyn said. Everyone got up except Patrick. He continued to stare at the Compound. 

Everyone looked at each other before realizing they needed help him.

"Patrick, spill." Sammy demanded kneeling next to him.

Patrick's eyes went wide before looking up at the group. His friends were looking at him with face's full of concern. I sighed.

"I saw this place in one of my moms old files." Patrick revealed. "It was still under construction. That file also had photos of the desert biome as well."

"Your mom knew about this place?" Kenji asked.

Patrick nodded.

"Apparently she did." Patrick said looking down. "I want to check out that warehouse with the BRADs again. Can you guys handle rescuing Darius?"
