Chapter 4 - Prelude

I grab the letter in my hand.

"What am I going to do now?"

I sit on my chair.

Olivier said that I can still continue my study as usual, but is there any point after this? Even if I finished all 3 years of my school years, I would still go back to the Fixers business anyway.

Sigh... I need to go to the school now.

I stand up and take my bag before I lock the door and goes to school.

It's still the usual city. There are many high rises building with ME Corp which seems to towers over them all.

I goes through the usual routes, and eventually, I arrived at the Academy.

"Yo Franks-kun."

"Morning, Yoshikuro-kun."

We walked side by side until we both enter our class. The hustle bustle of the class is there. Students are talking to each other, while some are just by themselves. I spotted Raiden Mei being surrounded by a couple of students.

"So, how's the project going?" I asked

"It's been pretty smooth so far."

I nodded.

"I see, who's duty is it today?"

Akira put his right hand on his chin as he thinks.

"I think today should be Yamashiba-kun."

I nodded again.

"I see."

We eventually ended our little talk as I headed towards my seat and I was greeted by Raiden Mei who seems to be happy.

"Good morning, Franks-san."

"Morning."

I quietly sit on my chair as Raiden Mei continues talking with the other students. The class eventually starts.

"Hey, what're you gonna eat today?"

"Let's go first before the other get to it!"

It's lunchtime. Some students went out to go to the cafetaria while some eat their own lunch. Me? I'm going to try the new curry bread.

As I arrived at the cafetaria, I realized that the line is not too long, so I just wait until I can get it.

"Finally, I obtained it!" Here it is! I get it! And the line behind me is quite long as well.

I decided to enjoy my meal at the class.

As I walk there, I bumped into someone.

"Ah! Sorry... little girl?"

It seems that I've bumped into a gray drill hair girl. Wait a minute, how did she even get here???"

"Little girl, how did you even get into here? Where is you parents? They must have been worried about you."

The girl ignores me and just left.

Oh well, who cares. Anyway, I just continues walking to my class and I arrived there.

I sit on my desk and enjoy my meal.

"Hello Franks-san, what are you eating?" Ask Raiden Mei

"I'm eating the curry bread that they sell at the cafetaria."

I rip off the wrapping.

"I see."

I take the first bite. It's good I suppose. The flavor is not mild at all which I like, and the crispiness of the bread compliments it.
