Mai's P.O.V.
My eyes shoot open. I found myself in a hospital room, the white lights temporarily blinding me. As soon as I my eyes adjust, I search my body for the unknown reason I'm here in the first place. I find nothing - no scratches, burns, bruises, and my body parts are all intact. Hmm, that's curious...
"Hello?" A woman with bright red hair and a sad smile snapped me out of my daze. I didn't realize her standing there.
"Ummm...Hi?" I say / ask cautiously.
She gently takes a clipboard from the doctor's desk beside me, and nods to herself. "Looks like you can speak OK..." I'm confused, I swear that I heard her voice crack.
"Do you mind telling me who you are?" This woman seemed to know me, but I was pretty sure that I didn't know HER.
"I'm Nurse Matsuzaki Ayako." My eyes widen for a split second. Where do I know her from? I search my mind, but I can't remember. Damn! This is so frustrating! "Now, do you know what your name is?"
"Yes... It's Taniyama, Mai." I paused, not knowing if I should tell her that the name I gave her is my alias...
The nurse nods and scans the clipboard she still holds. "It says here that- that both of your parents are dead. Do you confirm this? And if so, who have you been staying with until now?"
