𝔹𝔸ℂ𝕂 in the Addams manor, a horrified scream pierced the eerie calm, echoing through the house. Gomez and Morticia rushed towards the nursery, their hearts pounding with dread. As they flung open the door, they were greeted by a shocking sight: the once gloomy and macabre nursery walls, which Lilith had lovingly painted with dark, whimsical scenes, had transformed into a more child-friendly atmosphere. The room was now a bright, cheerful baby blue.
Grandma turned to them, her face etched with concern. "Stay back! He's very sick."
Gomez and Morticia exchanged worried glances before stepping inside. They approached the crib with trepidation, peering over the edge. There lay Pubert, but he was unrecognizable. His once black hair had turned into a mop of blonde curls, his pale skin was now flushed with rosy cheeks, and his little mustache was gone. He wore pastel-colored baby clothes and had a bright, unsettling smile on his face.
Morticia looked at her transformed son with a mix of worry and disbelief. "My baby!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with horror.
The shock was too much for Gomez. He staggered, then fainted dramatically, collapsing next to Morticia and Grandma.
"Lumbar, dison, pox and thither, curad, battle, bone and brine!" Grandma chanted as she, Lurch, Morticia, and Gomez gathered in the basement. Pubert lay on the table, giggling cheerfully at Grandma's chant. "Bone and brine!" Grandma exclaimed with dramatic flair. After a few more moments of chanting, she sighed in frustration. "Well, he's stubborn. It works on cats."
Morticia, her voice laden with concern, asked, "What are we going to do?"
Gomez, equally worried, added, "Is it hopeless?"
Grandma turned to her ancient spell book, flipping through the pages quickly. "Here it is. Chapter 18: Infant Possessions."
Gomez stared at her in disbelief. "He's possessed?"
Grandma continued reading from the page, her voice grave. "Severe alterations in appearance and personality. Such alterations can become permanent." Morticia's eyes widened with horror as she looked at Pubert, her voice trembling. "Permanent? Those golden curls?"
"Those rosy cheeks?"
"That smile?"
"These terrifying changes are most often the result of a troubled family life. Separations," Grandma read aloud, her voice serious. "Separations? You mean..." Gomez began, his mind racing. "Fester!" Morticia interjected, looking at her husband with realization. Grandma looked at them and exclaimed, "Bingo! This kid knows something is not right around here. Unless Fester comes back, we're talking dimples."
