As they arrived, Loid looked to his right at Anya who sat in the seat beside him. She kicked her feet and looked out the window. She held a somewhat small handbag in her hands.

"Alright, make sure your dress looks nice. We can't mess up our impression at the Desmond's house. Also, make sure to get along with Damian, alright?" Loid sternly said, and Anya nodded her head.

"Anya will try her best for Papa!" She gleefully responded, and Loid turned back as he looked at his hair through the rear view mirror. He lightly touched it as he fixed a few strands, letting out a sigh. He drove on and came to a stop when his face met with the speaker.

He reached out his hand and pressed the button, which static was heard.

"Who is this?" A male voice asked, and the static returned.

"Loid Forger." He answered, and the gate slowly opened.

"Drive on." It said, and so he did. They reached the parking space for the cars, which he parked at. Stepping outside, Loid walked over to the passenger side of the car, opening the door for Anya.

She giggled as she stepped out, tripping a bit from the large distance.

"Careful. Alright, hold my hand and let's go." Loid instructed her as she nodded and reached her hand out for his.

They walked forward to the entrance of the humongous house, standing in front of the door.

"Don't slouch and make sure to play fairly with Damian." Loid told her, which Anya groaned.

"Second son is super boring." She mumbled as Loid knocked on the door, waiting for a response. It took a while before a tall figure with broad shoulders stepped outside, allowing them inside.

"Loid Forger?" He confirmed, and Loid nodded. They walked inside into the house, Anya's jaw dropping at the sight.

From what she could see, there was a chandelier in every room!

One for the sitting room, kitchen, dining room, lounge area, and the study hall!

Second son is super fancy! Anya told herself as they were led to the sitting room.

"Take a seat and the Desmond's will join you shortly." He announced, walking off. Loid sat down with his back not touching the end of the sofa, then helped Anya up.

They waited for a while before the long awaited family had stepped into the room.

Loid immediately fixed Anya's back as he faced the Donovan Desmond.

They all took a seat on the other sofa, facing them.

"Ah, Loid Forger." Donovan remembered the moment they had met, and Loid smiled.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Desmond." Loid greeted him, and Anya waved.

"So nice of you to finally be able to visit us." He softly smiled, which Damian seemed surprised to see.

Like I expected, the eldest son is not here. Demetrius Desmond.

Chances were he was off studying due to Desmond's heavy belief system in politics and academics, so it only made sense that he was away.

"It's a pleasure, thank you for having us." Loid thanked them, and Donovan nodded.

"Of course. Damian, go take your classmate upstairs to your room. Bring some snacks from the kitchen too for her." He demanded Damian, and he nodded as he got off the sofa.

Anya hopped off too, hugging her father before walking down the hall with Damian. As they finally exited the room, the somewhat cheery smile resumed on Donovan's face.
