Chapter 1: Wake Up

Chapter 1: Wake Up
Lucy's P.O.V.

It's been six years since I joined Fairy Tail, not including the seven years I missed. I've grown closer to everyone in the guild, especially Team Natsu.

Everything that has happened to Fairy Tail since I joined seams sorta strange. Before I joined Fairy Tail only seemed to get in trouble because Natsu destroyed something. After I joined everything bad happened. Lullaby, Galuna Island; Phantom Lord, Loke turned into Leo; the Tower of Heaven, Laxus turned evil; the Oracian Seis and Nirvana, Edolas; Tenrou Island go wrong, the seven year gap; the key of the starry sky, the Grand Magic Games and the Dragon war; not to mention the Avatar incident with Grey and everything else that happened.

I decided too dismiss this thought.

At the moment I was on a mission with Team Natsu. It was an S-Class mission because all Erza, Grey, and Natsu are S-Class mages. The mission was to escort Princess Fiore to a meeting of leaders of the world. She is very important so they wanted only the strongest of wizards.

Right now we were getting ready to escort Princess Fiore. We all had to wear knightly armor so Erza lent me one of hers. She wore hey normal armor and gave me an identical pair except with a pink skirt.

Both Natsu and Grey had on really heavy armor (though I doubt Grey will keep his very long).

Once we were all ready we set off to protect the princess.

We got to ride horses by the carriage (Natsu got to use Happy since he had motion sickness) and we had a choice of weapon just I case. I choose a whip, Erza a sword, Grey a mace, and Natsu a torch.

The ride there was pretty uneventful. Then we had to wait for her to get done so we could go back.

"I'm so bored!" Natsu whined. "Let's just go!"

I Lucy kicked him. "Idiot! If we do that then we don't get the reward! I need rent money!"

"But I already invited you to stay au my place so you don't have to pay rent," Natsu mumbled. I blushed redder than Era's hair.

"You finally took a next step, Fire Brain?" Grey asked looking truly impressed.

"What's it to you, Ice Stripper?" Natsu growled. "You haven't even realized your feelings for Juvia yet."

"Natsu, Grey," Erza said coldly. They instantly linked arms and acted like best friends.

"Idiots," I groaned.

Once the meeting was over we got back on our horses and started escorting Princess Fiore back to her castle.

About halfway back I heard a bush rustle. It didn't sound major so I paid no attention to it. That was a mistake.
Right as we passed the bush died.

"The hell?" Natsu asked as Zerif, the black mage, stepped out from where the bush was.

"Why does this always happen to me?" He asked as he turned to Natsu. "What do you think?"

Erza told Grey to go with Princess Fiore and send reinforcements. The carriage kept going.

"Zerif," Natsu snarled. "What are you doing here?"

"What is anyone doing anywhere ever?" Zerif said, a single tear running down his cheek. "Do I need a reason to be anywhere for any reason?"

Natsu looked confused. "Cut the crap. What are you doing here?"

"Can I not see many dear brother when I want?" Zerif asked. "Don't you agree Mavis?"

Out of nowhere Mavis Vermillion appeared.

"Zerif? What are you doing here?" She asked.

He sighed. "Do I need a reason?"

"I guess not. But you better not hurt anyone in my guild."

"Oh, dear Mavis, if I do its not intentional." Zetif chuckled. "You, of all people, should know that."

"I-" Mavis was cut off by Zerif's magic exploding in every direction.

"GET DOWN!" Natsu yelled. I was still on my horse so I couldn't move in time.

A wave of pain and sorrow hit me. It felt like if death had been concentrated into a single spell. I fell off my horse and hit my had on the ground.

"LUCY!!!" I heard Natsu yell, it seemed distant though. He ran to my side. "Bastard!" He yelled at Zerif.

I coughed and black goop came out of my mouth.

"N-Natsu?" I mumbled. He turned towards me and he had tears streaming down his face.

"Shh. Stay awake, Luce. No, wake up. Please wake up," he pleaded.

"But I am awake." I was super confused.

"No you aren't. You've been asleep for 18 years. Wake up. Wake up, Luce, for me. Don't give up. Don't let them take you away."

And with that the world went black.

I sat up. I was in a white room with two moveable beds. I was in one of the beds.

"Where the Mavis am I?" I asked no one in particular. At the foot of the bed a man with really familiar pink hair snapped his head in my direction.

"Lucy?" He asked startled.

"Natsu? Where am I?"
