Chapter 3: Realization
Lucy's P.O.V.

Makarov let me out of the hospital for the party but told me I had to come right back afterwards. Cana choose the bar we were partying at and I almost broke down crying. It was called 'Fairy Tale'. It had to be a joke.

The others invited everyone. Mirajane, Lisanna, and Kianna all worked at Fairy Tale so they didn't need to be invited. Everyone in the guild came, not to mention people from other guilds. Lamia Scale was there with Lyon trying to steal Juvia from Grey. Blue Pegasus with the creepy Ichia. SaberTooth and their twin dragon slayers. I was suprised so many people showed up because I woke up. I pretended not to know their names so I wouldn't startle them like I did the others.

The party lasted a couple of hours before Natsu, Grey, Gajeel, and the twin dragon slayers got into a fight. After that Levy brought me back to the hospital and promised she'd be back the next day.

After she left, Wendy came I to check on me. She said I looked fine so she left me alone to get some rest. Once she was gone realization hit me.

Fiore was a lie. Fairy Tail just a dream. I never got to know everyone for who they were. It was all my imagination. Finally figuring out Natsu liked me, becoming friends with Lisanna and Mira. Being there for Levy when Gajeel was on a mission for a month. Seeing how Erza and Jellal grew closer. Resolving things with my dad. Getting teased by Happy.

Happy. Natsu asked who he was. That means that in this world there is no Happy. Yet. There is a Carla, so there has to be a Happy somewhere. I will find him.

For the rest of the night I just sat in the hospital room and cried.

The next morning Makarov released me from the hospital. He assigned Natsu to be my guide person sense I had no idea what was going on in the past 18 years.

"So," Natsu said while we were at a Fairy Tale getting lunch. "Where ate you staying?"

"I... I um... I really hadn't thought about that. I was still thinking I had my apartment in Magnolia," I admitted.

"Okay... I am so confused." Natsu shook his head. "Could you please explain about 'Magnolia', ' Fiore', and 'Fairy Tail'?"

"I guess... where should I start?"

"How your mind came up with a world and all its people when you were five," Natsu supplied.

"I don't reme-"

"Mommy! Look!" I showed the story I made up to my mom. It was called Fairy Tail and on the front was a little blue cat.

"Mom have me some paper and I drew Happy and the guild," I said as my eyes widened. "When I was five my parents and I were going on a road trip to Tokyo. Our cat got hit and I woke up in Fiore. I didn't even think about it because Fiore dad told me that moon was dead and I didn't think about anything else." I remembered.

"And you mentioned someone named Happy again," Natsu said distracting me from my thoughts.

"You really don't know Happy?"

"I'm afraid not."

I sighed. "Unbelievable. He is your best friend? He's a cat? Likes Carla? Nothing?"

"No?"

"Does Gajeel have a cat named Pantherlily?"

"Uh... yeah. Why?"

"THEN WHY DON'T YOU HAVE HAPPY!?!" I yelled scaring everyone in the bar. Then I angrily muttered, "Natsu of all people should have his Exceed."

"What are you talking about?"

"Where is the pet shelter?"
