giving it a shot
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." Heeseung says, referring to their plans that they made for the next day. Rai smiles at him, nodding her head. They had spent more time together than Rai had intended, the sun already set in the sky. She hadn't meant to spend the entire day with Heeseung but she had gotten so caught up talking with him, the two of them sitting at a cafe together.
"Hey, Rai." Heeseung calls out as Rai turns away, preparing herslef for the sight of a brand new apartment. She slowly turns back, tilting her head slightly as she looks at the boy.
"I'm sorry, about this." He says, motioning to the door behind her. Rai frowns slightly, looking up at him.
"What do you mean?" She asks, watching as Heeseung shoves both of his hands into his pockets.
"I know that this isn't an ideal situation, and I'm sure you don't want to be living across from me." He says, avoiding Rai's gaze as he speaks. She stares at him for a moment, wondering why he sounded so guilty. Rai could feel the guilt through their bond, a small smile pulling at the corners of her mouth. She steps forward, putting a hand on his arm.
"Even though I wasn't a huge fan at first, I know that this really is the best thing for us right now." She says, Heeseung staring at her hand as it rests on his forearm. He opens his mouth, clearly wanting to say something but he's interrupted.
"RaiRai, there you are." The girl turns her head to see Dae-ho walking towards them, his eyes on the girl as he approaches. Rai frowns at the nickname, having never heard it from Dae-ho before. She feels Heeseung tense, the girl feeling a sense of jealousy through their bond. Rai knew that she would have to be careful about how close she was to Dae-ho when Heeseung was around, their soulmate bond making him possessive.
