⋅☾ Chapter Four ☽⋅
realization
Heeseung paces in his apartment, holding both of his hand son top of his head. He glances at his phone, the device sitting on his couch.
"Fucking hell." The boy says under his breath as he snatches the device, his eyes on the contact that he had opened. Rai's name sits at the top of his screen, Heeseung's fingers hovering over the keyboard. He sighs as he holds the device against his forehead, just trying to work up the nerve to say something to the girl. Heeseung nearly drops his phone when it suddenly starts ringing, Rai's contact lighting up the screen all over again.
"Hello?" He says, sinking into the cushions of his couch.
"Hi, can we meet? I think we need to talk." Rai says, her voice flat. Heeseung frowns slightly, confused by the tone of her voice.
"Uhh, yeah, we can meet. Is there someplace you have in mind?" He asks, trying not to sound flustered even as his heard beats harder than it should in his chest. There's a long pause, Heeseung checking his phone to see if she had ended the call.
"I guess I didn't think that far ahead." Rai mutters, her voice quiet. Heeseung chuckles, leaning back against his couch cushions.
"You were just so excited to talk to me, huh?" He says, smirking as he stares at his ceiling. Rai scoffs in response, Heeseung feeling the tiniest hint of embarrassment through their fresh bond.
"Do you know a place where we could talk without being seen?" Rai asks, Heeseung thinking for a moment before he leans forward with his elbows on his knees.
"We're both a bit too high profile to go anywhere public, you could always just come to my apartment or I could come to yours." He offers, tilting his head to the side while he waits for the girl to answer him. There's another long silence, Rai finally letting out a long sigh.
"Send me your address." Is all she says before she ends the call, Heeseung staring at his screen for a moment before he sets the device down on his sitting room table. He anxiously walks around his apartment, straightening and tidying like he was expecting the queen to walk into his home at any moment. Heeseung jumps when a knock sounds at his door, the boy rolling his shoulders as he opens it to see Rai standing in the hallway.
