fresh start
Heeseung sighs as he leans forward, wiping the sweat from his forehead with the hem of his t-shirt. He pulls his earbuds out, the sounds of the gym around him filling his senses.
"Are you sure that you can't come to the event tonight?" Sunghoon asks from where he stood next to the weights, picking up two of the heavier ones.
"I really wish I could, but I've got an interview to do. My manager wasn't paying attention when he scheduled me, clearly." Heeseung says with a scoff, standing from his seat. Sunghoon shakes his head, chuckling.
"I hear Sol Rai is going to be there, you sure you really can't go?" Jay asks, wiggling his eyebrows as he looks at the two of them from the machine he was using. Heeseung rolls his eyes when Sunghoon laughs, looking at his friends through the mirror's reflection.
"I said that I'd like to work with her one time, are you guys ever going to let me forget it?" He asks, shaking his head as he walks to where he had set his water bottle.
"Why would we let you forget about it when it's more fun to tease you?" Sunghoon asks as he sets down his weights, Heeseung rolling his eyes again in response.
"You're both ridiculous." He says, his phone drawing his attention away from his friends. Heeseung grabs the device from where it sat in his bag, seeing a text that he was hoping he wouldn't get.

Heeseung sighs, staring at the text that he didn't really want to reply to. He barely notices when Jay and Sunghoon come up on either side of him, both boys peeking over his shoulders.
"She's still texting you?" Jay asks, his eyes wide as him and Sunghoon share a surprised glance.
"I blocked her but she just got a new number." Heeseung says, tossing his phone back into his bag. He rolls his shoulders as he walks towards one of the machines, Sunghoon crossing his arms over his chest as he looks at the older boy.
