After Shock

Chapter Two

But Claire wasn't alone, my best friend Abi came out of the passenger seat. She moved here after she heard we needed some help, but she didn't come alone. A few other interns came as well: Ellie and Jamie-Leigh Samuel (the twins, they worked with Owen and me), Callum Attenborough (the Mosasaurus intern), Maisie Flynn (Dr Flynn's wife and herbivore expert) and another girl. But she was coming later this week.
"Hey Claire. Hey Abi. What are you here for?" I asked shouting over.
"We just wanted to bring you some wedding dress catalogues." Abi shouted back, carrying a box full of books. I head back into the kitchen, greeted by Owen. Who was only wearing his boxers. I untied my flannel and threw it to him. He looked back at me with a confused look on his face.
"You might need it" I replied.

Just after that Abi and Claire walked in, they immediately turned away and blushed. I turned back to Owen who was bright red, he had grabbed my flannel and tried to cover what was left of his dignity. He ran into the bedroom and changed into some jogging pants. I started to jump up in the air. Everyone looked at me with confused and worried faces.
"You okay babe?" Owen asked.
"Yeah. I just realized! I made you blush. Finally after all of this time I have fin..." I was interrupted by a kiss. I could feel myself blush.
"Dammit you always have to burst my bubble!" I moaned. Everyone started to laugh.

"Don't you have a meeting to be at?"
"Fuck!" I murmured.
"Excuse me. We have children now and I do not want them to use that language."
"You can't say anything." I replied hitting Owen in the chest.
"See you guys later." I said; picking up my keys. I ran towards my jeep and hopped in.
