Kai stood there with a nervous smile on her face. She darted her eyes from Jay to Sam.

"Y-you guys are okay, right?" Kai asked as she nervously stood there, fidgeting with the handle of the sword.

"Kai, he wasn't doing anything wrong!" Jay yelled with an outburst. Sam fell on her knees as she felt her heart thump faster and harder with each second passing. Kai frowned and dropped her sword. "But I saved you guys!" she said as tears began to slowly maneuver their way through her eyelashes.  She gripped her head with her hands as the panic in her grew. Such a young and confused heart, taken over by others actions. "I-i thought maybe if I saved you guys, I'd be a hero! And maybe you'd even treat me like you actually have some FUCKING RESPECT!" she yelled as she picked up the sword. She gripped the handle tighter. "All I've ever done was try to make you like me. To make you think I was any less annoying. Even if it meant KILLING SOMEONE for you." She began to sob harder now. Then she sniffled and looked up at them. "Unless.. unless it was one of you. Of course! The hero always gets betrayed. I should've known by now." She began to laugh manically. Sam looked behind her and noticed some light peer into the theater.  Kai raised her sword, ready to charge at Jay. Jay sat there frozen, not knowing what his next move would be. She took a few steps and then there was a swoosh noise. Kai turned around, piercing her attacker in the stomach with the sword. The killer dropped their knife and ran away. Kai collapsed on the stage. Sam ran up to her as she watched blood seep all over Kai's clothes. The killer may have been fended off, but they left a fatal scar. Kai's stomach was sliced and was gushing more every second.

"Kai stay with me, come on." Sam said, holding Kai's head in her arm.
" Am I a hero?" Kai asked quietly.
"Yes, you are. The best one ever and I love you so much" Sam sobbed as she held her best friends lightweighted body in hers. Jay crawled over to them. Kai smiled at them.
"I'm sorry guys." she said with tears in her eyes.
"No, we're sorry, just... just don't worry about it now!"
"I should just..." her voice became faint, "rest."
Sam was trying hard to stop herself from breaking down. "Yeah, that's fine, go ahead."
She laid Kais body gently on the stage and stood up. She stared at her hands. There was blood covering them. It wasn't hers though.

Sam and Jay were escorted out of the theater by police. The theater was shut down for the moment now. Sam looked up at Jay, who was already staring off into the distance.
"I blame the mayor for this." Jay said, accusing blindly.  Sam was overwhelmed with disbelief.
"You accuse him even though you tried to partake in it?" she countered him.
"I stated it was for self-defense for work tonight." Sam scoffed.
"Whatever dude." she said as she hopped off the back of the ambulance. She started walking home. Jay sat there and felt the stained blood on his face with his hands.

Ally and Sam were sitting in the living room. Sam was trying to sleep while Ally was watching the television.
"Are you okay? Because, you know..." Ally asked Sam to try to break the barrier of silence.
"Yeah I'm fine. Besides, hero's never die." She said as she finally fell asleep.
