The large mirror lit up and upon it's surface words appeared—A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE.
Realisation dawns on both Rhaenyra and Viserys I, all of this was about Aegon's Dream. Both of them look towards Viserys III.
'was this his story? was he the prince that Aegon foretold?' both Rhaenyra and her father thought to themselves.
The words then faded away before they were replaced by moving images. The scene before them all showed three rangers of the Night's Watch riding through a tunnel, leaving Castle Black and going into the woods beyond the Wall. The names of the three rangers briefly appeared on screen, introducing them to the watchers.
One of the rangers, a young man named Will, separated from his other two companions as he began scouting up ahead. As he continued through the woods, something peculiar caught his attention. It was the rising smoke from a fire. Will immediately halted his horse, quietly dismounting before he began to crawl slowly in the direction of the smoke. What he sees is a shocking sight.
The screen shows the bodies of fallen dead. Eight dismembered corpses lie frozen on the ground—men, women and children.
Many of the watchers gasped at the horror shown on the screen. Helaena immediately flinched at the sight and turned away, covering both her ears and eyes.
Catelyn attempts to cover Bran and Arya's eyes but the damage has been done.
Frightened by the sight, Will scrambled up off the snow and turning around to run back to his brothers when he saw a young girl impaled on a wooden spear against a tree. Will flinches, obviously also startled by this sight and quickly rushes back to his horse, riding away from the massacre with haste.
