I'm skipping 'The Descent', 'Daddy Issues', and 'Crying Wolf' chapters in my story because I can't find a way to include Isabella in them.

Andie doesn't exist in my version because I didn't like that part of the original story.

Rose doesn't die because Isabella is a Siphoner and can heal the werewolf bite.

In my version, Damon and Rose are just friends. Also Rose doesn't come to the dinner because she didn't want Elijah to know she was alive yet.

Once Isabella had arrived back at the Salvatore house, she had quickly become accustomed to Damon and Alaric's plan for Elijah. The Salvatore was hosting a dinner party where he would get all the information he needed from Elijah, then he was going to dagger him. The plan seemed simple enough, but Isabella knew that something was bound to go wrong.

After getting ready for the dinner date, Isabella headed back down the staircase just as the doorbell rang, and considering she was standing by the door, she was the one who answered it. As she pulled the door open, expecting Elijah, she was met with John Gilbert instead. "Oh. It's you."

"John." Damon stepped into view as John sauntered into the house. "What a surprise. Leave."

"When Jenna told me she was coming to a dinner party for Elijah, I decided I couldn't miss out on all the fun and games," John told Damon and Isabella, just as Jenna rolled her eyes and wandered off.

"Of course, John," Isabella retorted dryly, her eyes narrowing with thinly veiled disdain. "Because nothing says 'fun and games' like your presence at a dinner party." She emphasized the last words with a pointed glance.

"They aren't gonna be any games tonight, John. It's just a friendly dinner party." Alaric told the Gilbert man with a serious look on his face.

"Right. Well, I think I'll stay. You know, just in case." John shrugged and tossed the Salvatores a smirk as he moved further into the house.

"Oh, goodie," Isabella muttered under her breath, her tone laced with sarcasm as she exchanged a knowing glance with Damon. She rolled her eyes before heading over to the table, but as she did, the doorbell rang again. This time, when she opened it, Elijah stood at the doorstep. "Elijah, welcome," she greeted with a smile.

"Isabella, what a pleasure. You look stunning," Elijah said with a grin as he admired her outfit, but Damon stepped into view the moment he heard Elijah complimenting Isabella.

"Thank you, Elijah," Damon interjected smoothly, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I knew I looked stunning the moment I was born."

Elijah chuckled before his expression turned serious. "Just one moment. Can I just say that if you have anything less than honorable intentions about how this evening is going to proceed, I suggest you reconsider?"

"No, no. Nothing dishonorable. Just, uh— getting to know you." Damon innocently smiled as he nudged Isabella to speak up about something.

"Of course, Elijah," Isabella replied, her voice honey-sweet with polite charm. "We're simply here to enjoy your company and the evening." She offered a gracious smile.
