Elijah took the girls to the Lockwood Estate and compelled Carol to gather him a fresh suit, considering his own was burnt to a crisp. Isabella observed the Original with cautious eyes, fully aware that Elijah posed no threat to them. She understood that Elijah was their only hope in killing or at least stopping Klaus, leaving her no choice but to invite him into her house before Elijah suggested they continue their conversation at the Lockwood Mansion.

"So, I assume the Martin witches are no longer with us," Elijah inquired, seating himself in one of the many rooms of the Lockwood house.

"No, sadly, they aren't," Isabella responded, her eyes briefly lowering as she recalled the tragic and unnecessary deaths of Jonas and Luka Martin. The loss of witches to the machinations of other supernatural beings always struck a nerve.

Elijah nodded slowly, as if he had anticipated this outcome. "And Katerina? She would have been released from my compulsion when I died."

"Klaus took her," Elena explained, her voice filled with sympathy. "We think she may be dead."

"I doubt that. Not Klaus' style," Elijah replied with a knowing smirk. "Death would be too easy for her after what she did."

Isabella's curiosity sparked. "You've told us you want Klaus dead, yet you still want Katherine to pay for betraying Klaus. Why?"

Elijah's expression grew pensive. "I have my own reasons for wanting Katerina to suffer. There was a time—I'd have done anything for Klaus." He paused, deep in thought, then refocused on the girls. "I'd have done anything for him because Klaus is my brother."

"Wait, what?" Elena's eyes widened in shock, but Isabella remained calm, a hint of understanding in her gaze.

"Yes, I'm a little behind on the times, but I believe the term you're both searching for is OMG," Elijah said, sipping his tea with a short smile before looking at Isabella. "I assume you figured it out."

Isabella nodded confidently, her expression indicating she had long suspected this revelation.

"So, wait a minute. There's an entire family of people like you—Originals?" Elena asked, clearing her throat as Elijah rose from the couch.

"My father was a wealthy landowner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children," Elijah explained, his eyes fixed on his reflection before turning to face Elena and Isabella, who had also stood up.

"So, your parents were human?" the doppelganger asked.

"Our whole family was. Our origin as vampires is a very long story. Just know, we're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the Original Family, and from us, all vampires were created," Elijah replied.

"Yes, but Klaus is your brother. What I'm failing to understand is why you would want your own flesh and blood dead," Isabella said, raising an eyebrow and tilting her head.
