With just two weeks until the exams, Izuku was studying. He had a plan and getting into U.A. was his first step. Izuku had used his newly learned hacking skills to find all the questions for the written exam, not the answers, though. It would be too suspicious if someone got every single answer right. He was busy going over one of the sections when a message came through from Giran.

Also, I got some information about U.A. from an informant. All Might is going to be teaching there. Now, this was some news. Izuku had once been a fanboy who practically worshipped All Might, and now he hated him. And now with him at U.A. that was even more motivation to get in. He would be able to study this man even better, find out everything, pull apart his quirk, his strengths, and most importantly, his weakness.
“Izuku honey.” Izuku looked up from his computer. His mother was standing by his door. “Just wanted to. Check up on you. Supper is almost ready.” She gave him a smile and walked back towards the kitchen.
And there was the guilt. Even though he no longer felt guilty when planning or killing heroes, he did every now and again feel guilty for lying to his mother. She had done so much for him. But he made up for it by putting money into her account. He had gotten a fake raise for her and was adding money to her paycheck.
During supper, Izuku was going through a few things while eating. “It's so nice to see you so motivated to get into U.A.” He looked up at his mother, who was smiling warmly. He remembers how upset she had been when he told her that he was not allowed to take the hero course exam. But he had also seen some relief, he didn't blame her. She had seen how badly he got beaten up, and she was obviously worried about how the hero course would treat him. But even so, she had still tried to help him reach his dream, and for that, he was forever grateful.
“Oh and the Bakugos have invited us for supper next week.” Oh right, his mother and Bakugo’s mother are close friends. Great, he was barely managing to avoid Bakugo at school now that he was going to be in his house. He faked a smile, something he had learned to do very well over the past months. “Sounds great, mom.” He went back to eating and going over some of his work.
Later that evening, he and his mother were sitting in front of the TV watching the news. His mother was doing some knitting, a small side hobby that she had started doing after getting more money. The news wasn't that interesting, mostly just about a small-scale robbery. Izuku was taking notes on the hero who had stopped it. “We interpret this with some sad news. The hero Dew was just found dead. It appears that The Quiet One is responsible for this. The crime….” Izuku stopped listening. He closed his notebook and got up. “How horrible.” He faked a devastated voice. “Oh the poor girl, she was such a new hero too.” His mother put away her knitting and turned off the TV. “I think that's enough for today.” She got up and walked to her room. Once she was out of the room, Izuku smiled to himself, another victory.
