Chapter: 5 - Reveal (Part -1)

After a long peaceful night , I got up went downstairs as I saw Kevin's belongings in the living room . Looks like he finished packing. I came down yawning searching for him so is mom . I found mom and Kevin in the kitchen eating his breakfast scrolling through his phone. They might have woken up early. But no...I am the one who woke up late . I  went in the kitchen opened the fridge door. The sound made Kevin look up at my direction " The bird came out so late." He said sarcastically Yeah I have so what." Yeah...it's not a big deal , summer break has started ." I said shrugging took my milk and walked towards the table. Mom placed my plate on the table as I taken my seat . Kevin shook his head in denial " Nah...just say you're lazy." He said shoving his pancakes into his mouth. I wanted to argue more , but it's still morning , I can't drain my energy so early . I just gave a sarcastic smile at him pointing fork at him. After last night with Kevin, he guided my feelings and made sure I did not think much about it. I can't believe his just a totally different person yesterday , from being a kind demeanor to being an asshole again . I really feel like he just forgotten what happened last night . Looks like he is not as annoying brother after all.
After his he finished his meal he spoke ." If you do need anything call me ." I just gave a silent nod continued eating.
"My friend is gonna arrive here any time soon...." As soon as I heard his friend i looked at him . I am not comfortable with a stranger even though a friend of kevin spending here for a month. Just why ...can't a nanny be there for me or something that's way better. To be honest Its  just for a month ...only for a month ...nothing more than that. But Kevin voice became a little serious this time but I sense more protectiveness in it." Don't worry about my friend...he is not going to disturb you. If he does tell me so. "And one more thing ". This tome with more serious dry tone ." If there is any emergency, or  if there's a situation where I am unable to pick up your call ,follow his orders whenever he says so....is that clear ." Yeah I don't feel easy right now. It's literally not a good decision to bring up a friend you know but I don't . But I can take it . I am just gonna mind my own business . But what with the emergency and orders he is taking about? I don't understand but I did not ask about it .I finished my pancakes placing my fork down , looked at Kevin.
" You don't have to worry about it dude.... though you're an annoying brother, I bet your fellow friend would be definitely same as you . So I can deal with him the same as I deal with you." Giving a raised eyebrow confidently that him . Kevin was offered by my statement and pointed out his index finger at me." Hey! watch your mouth knuckle head....you don't know how many girls are into me , you don't know how much they love my infamous handsome face." He said praising himself out.
"*scoff* oh...fall for you ,you say . Then I should better advise them not to fall in the gutter ....*tsk tsk *what a pity ." I gave a sarcastic look on him . Kevin narrowed his eyes even more . I couldn't hold myself laughing inside so hard , but I stayed straight faced as possible. Mom on the other hand gave a small snort laughing trying not to make any sound, but unfortunately we heard it .
" Mom you too?...you gotta be kidding me. Oh is there someone in this world who recognize me and my handsomeness...anyone?" He said in a dramatic cry way .Sure he would be best and earn more in acting rather than business.
"No one..." I accidentally slipped replied , which made me started laughing hard so hard even mom too started laughing. Me and mom looked at each other's face as well .Kevin's was in utter shock.
"Oh why?!" He started his fake cry again . It feels alive laughing like this wholeheartedly specially in a family.nothing more wholesome than having a peaceful and happy family. The most priceless thing in this materialistic world is having a peaceful and happiness specially in families.  No matter how much money anyone has there is no equal value to be compared. I took my plate and went inside the kitchen to clean, when mom suddenly got surprised looking at her watch. "Oh dear!...look at the time ...I am going to be late! Kids I have to go I have to catch my flight I am already late ." She said hurriedly got up from her chair placing her hand bag on her shoulder.
"So fast?...But mom isn't it too early? I said coming toward her drying my hands out .
Mom shook her head." I know....but I have to catch this one early. The flight will reach here in three hours." ." Oh..ok then ." I nodded. Kevin and I accompanied mom in the  living room doorway .  She took her belongings and got ready to go . "Have a safe trip mom." I smiled at her.
Mom smiled too." Thank you...be safe  take care of your self ." I nodded. Mom cupped my cheeks and kissed on each side. "If you ever feel to talk with me ...don't hesitate to do so. " she said in whisper. I nodded again with a smile ." Kevin you be safe too...enjoy your summer camp,do the forget your sunscreen. And one more thing....i count on you for Calastia's safety." She said in a dry serious tone . Kevin nodded "Sure mom don't worry...she will be fine." He said reassuring her. Mom smiled in relief " That's my son." She said hugging him and kissed him on his cheek as Kevin smiles "Have a safe trip mom." He said as mom gave a nod too. We told mom our send offs and Kevin closed the door.

I went back to the dining area to clean the dishes. Kevin was ready but he still had time to go so he sat on the dining chair. We were talking about some chitchat about some university rumors and laughing about it . After few minutes or so  , Kevin got a call from his phone. He took the call and left . I finally finished my cleaning and went to the living room where Kevin was standing still talking. I was curious and tried to intrude what are they talking about but failed.
"Yeah...you got the location?....great . "When will you be over here?....five minutes? ...great. Yeah...cool." He finally ended the call and looked at me. I was clueless what's going on with the intense conversation. "Who is it?" I questioned. Kevin kept his phone back into his pocket and looked at me.
"My friend....that's coming over." He said. That friend. right. coming over. in five minutes. I was really not ready to meet a person this fast.
"Oh..ok." I said gave a little nod at him. Kevin saw at my nervousness. He placed his both arms at my shoulders and said " You don't have to worry...again he is my friend . If you feel any uneasiness don't hesitate to call me." I did not say anything. I just feel the uneasiness right now Itself . I don't know why ,but I feel my instincts say the person that's going to come is a ...uh...I can't make up the word... Not right.
It was time when Kevin about to go . He went through his packing stuff needed for the camp. As he was ready to set to go ,when we heard the doorbell rang. My heart skipped a beat ." Ah..He's here ....." Kevin gave a nod ,as I gave a small smile too. My heart,  it was beating so hard due to nervousness. . This friend of Kevin I don't know ....how does he look like? I can really sense his aura here...it's not right. Is it true or am I hallucinating.
Oh gosh this feeling.... is not good....
