You all walked into the restaurant,the lighting was dim,it was past twelve at night so not many people were there

Chan decided to reserve one big table for everyone

You all made yourself comfortable and started looking at the menu

The waiter came and took the order from chan

It was a celebration night

Even though you wanted to talk to hyunjin back then ,you waited knowing everyone was gonna be there and there's alot to talk about with him

But you felt a feeling of relief

Like things were gonna get fixed

"It's been a long time since we all gathered like this" felix started

"It's been" changbin sighed

"Let's go watch fireworks today" you added as everyone agreed

You all ate food,everyone was talking about old times,how you guys used to hangout after college,all those classes you bunked

You all had a nice dinner and decided to drink soju at hyunjin's and watch the fireworks first

You all being together made the night special,it made the sparks of firework brighter,you closed your eyes making a promise to yourself

"I'll never leave them,this is forever"

You watched the boys jump with each other,everyone felt home,everyone felt safe

"Hi kiddo"

Chan stood by your side as you were admiring the boys

"You good?"

"I am fine chan"

He pulled you in a hug,somehow he always get it,he doesn't ask but he always get it whenever you're not fine

"Its you and hyunjin,everything will be fine in the end" he patted your head

"It'll be,I'll make sure channie" you said as you looked up at him

The boys ran towards you both and join the hug

After a while everyone just sat down,talking

You decided to take a small walk around

"Love"

You recognised the voice and hummed,you stood on the edge as hyunjin hugged you from the back,sniffing your hairs,resting his head on you

"I missed you" he mumbled

You took his hands and tightened his hands around you

"I missed you too hyunjin"

He bursted into tears you turned around and cupped his face,you tried to hold back your emotions

Hyunjin really needed you right now

More than you needed him

"My baby" you said "I'm never going anywhere again,I was just hurt you know?i didn't understood what happened so suddenly,you called me a friend and I thought you didn't want us to be best friends anymore"

"Do you think I can survive without you? You were gone for just a day and it nearly killed
me y/n"

"I can see that" you said as you whiped his tears

He hugged you again

"I'm sorry I hurt you"

"I'm sorry I left"

You looked at him again,he rested his forhead with yours,his nose touching yours,your lips curling in a small smile,you both closed your eyes

Just feeling the moment

The sound of fireworks made him flinch a little making you both chuckle

You hugged him tightly

Chan looked at you both,as he smiled a little

"They finally made up"

He didn't knew what was going on but seeing you both fight with each other made the whole group feel sad and dull

It's always nine or none

"Let's go" hyunjin held your hands and you both joined the others

Chan picked soju bottles on the way home

"Let's watch horror movie today" jisung suggested

"Let's play something instead" felix said as everyone agreed to it

Jisung pouted a little so you pulled him in a side hug

"We can watch a movie after playing hanji"

You all had a nice walk to home,the wind was breezy

Everything felt perfect,hyunjin was smiling today,you just felt happy

Maybe this was better

You being just friends

Maybe this was what is meant to be for you both

You decided to keep your feelings side from now on

To never do anything that will hurt your friendship or him

You just accepted things the way they were

Not everything is meant to happen

Not everyone gets the person they want to spend their life with

Maybe he was never yours

You looked at him and all you felt was unconditional love

Just because you love him doesn't mean you have to be with him right?

You just wished though
