"YOU CAN'T EVEN DO ONE THING PROPERLY!!!"

Aditi was yelling at Shubman, her words harsh and disappointed.

Shubman sat there, looking down, feeling like a small child being reprimanded by their mother. He knew he had messed up and deserved the scolding, so he just sat there, accepting the lecture silently.

Aditi continued her tirade, her voice rising with every word.

"You had ONE JOB," she exclaimed, emphasizing the word 'one.' "And you couldn't even do that. What were you doing instead?"

"wo... Advik came... So..." Shubman tried to defend himself.

"Advik came?" Aditi repeated, cutting him off mid-sentence. "And you couldn't do anything because of that?"

"We could've wrapped up this case in a few days if you had done your job right," she said, her words biting. "But no, you wasted your time hanging out with Ishan instead."

Rishabh, who had been watching the situation unfold quietly, looked nervous and uncomfortable.

He was sweating slightly and fidgeting in his seat.

Shubman couldn't help but notice Rishabh's nervous behavior and shot him a questioning look.

"What's up with him?" Shubman asked wondering why Rishabh seemed so on edge.

Rishabh quickly tried to brush off Shubman's comment, his voice sounding more high-pitched than usual.

"Oh, me? Nothing happened to me," he said with an awkward laugh. "I'm fine, totally fine."

As Aditi's attention shifted to Rishabh, her frown deepened.

"You're being weird," she said bluntly, her eyes scrutinizing him.

Rohit silently observed the exchange from his seat at the desk. He couldn't help but find the whole situation amusing.

He watched as Aditi scowled at Rishabh and Shubman sat there, looking like a kicked puppy.

Aditi turned to Rishabh, her voice sharp and demanding.

"Tell us Rishabh," she said. "What's going on with you? You look like you're hiding something."

Rishabh laughed nervously, a bead of sweat forming on his forehead.

"Uh, I think I might have made a little mistake," he admitted, his voice trembling slightly.

Rohit, who had been watching the exchange silently, couldn't hold back his curiosity anymore.
"What mistake did you make, Rishu?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine intrigue.

Rishabh fidgeted in his seat, his voice trembling as he explained his mistake.

"Yesterday, I tried hacking into their site, but I don't know how but somehow they found out about the police monitoring them," he admitted, his face growing more anxious with each word.

Aditi and Shubman both looked at him in surprise.

"You let them know the police was onto them?" Aditi asked, her voice filled with disbelief and frustration.

Shubman's eyes widened as he recalled the incident from the previous day.

"Actually, that would make sense," he mused, his thoughts racing. "Advik came home suddenly. He was acting quite mad about something."

"So you're saying that, you accidentally let them know we're onto them?" Rohit said, his voice filled with irritation.

Rishabh nodded sheepishly
"Basically, yeah," he admitted in a sheepish voice, avoiding Rohit's stern gaze.
