Shubman realized Ishan had not been informed about the details of his mother's death and what kind of person his father is.

Shubman hesitated for a moment, pondering whether to reveal the truth to Ishan. a fact that would surely be painful for Ishan to hear.

"there's something you should know."
_____________

Shubman opened his apartment door, invitingly gesturing for Ishaan to enter first.

Ishaan entered with a dull and exhausted expression, the weight of the truth he'd just learned weighing down on him heavily. All his life had been a lie, leaving him feeling completely drained. The revelation had left him emotionally and physically exhausted, causing him to question if he even had the strength to continue.

Ishaan stood there, the words of protest died in his throat. It seemed that just when he thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, they did. The energy required to argue, to tell Shubman that he didn't need any pity, was simply not within his reach at that moment. All he could do was stand in exhausted silence, the weight of everything that had happened seemingly pressing him further into the ground.

He stepped into Shubman's apartment, a sense of familiarity washed over him. He had been here many times before, spending time with 'shubhas', but now it all felt so unfamiliar. The room that had once been a place of comfort and safety now seemed almost alien, as if it had transformed into a foreign land overnight.

Ishan couldn't shake the feeling that things would never be the same again.

Shubman sighed, sensing the heavy atmosphere that had settled upon them. He carefully guided Ishan to a nearby chair, ensuring that he was seated before pulling up a chair of his own. He sat down, his eyes filled with concern as he looked at Ishan, the silence between them growing thick.

Shubman took a moment to gather his thoughts before he began to speak, his voice soft and earnest, "I know this is hard to process, Ishan, and I'm sorry you found out this way. But please, just know that I'm here for you. Tell me what's on your mind," he said gently, his expression filled with empathy.

Ishan just sat there, still in a state of exhaustion and shock. He simply sat slumped in the chair, staring straight ahead with a blank expression. The words that Shubman spoke seemed to barely register in his mind, lost in the torrent of thoughts and emotions swirling within him.

He had always known that his parents didn't have a good relationship, but never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that his father would kill his mother. The revelation was like a punch to the gut, leaving him dazed and struggling to make sense of it all. The knowledge that someone he had known, his own father, could commit such a heinous act shook him to his very core.

he sat there, zoning out and not listening to Shubman's attempts at conversation, he couldn't help but wonder just how long that strength would last.

It felt like the last few months had been an endless barrage of revelations, each one more shocking and devastating than the last. How much more could he handle before he broke?

Shubman noticed Ishan's distant, zoning out expression. He could see the inner turmoil and emotional exhaustion in his eyes. He understood that Ishan was processing everything in his own way, and respected his need for space and time to come to terms with the truth.

Shubman fell silent, allowing Ishan to sit in his trance-like state. He remained there patiently, willing to be a calming presence as Ishan worked through his thoughts and feelings. As hard as it was to watch, Shubman knew that sometimes the only thing he could offer was his silent support.
