He knows you're keeping something from him and he does not like it, not one bit.

You guys started dating back in sophmore year and everything went well so far, until the beginning of seniour year.

You've been acting strangely. A little more distant? He hates it. It's been driving him insane? Why? Why all of a sudden? He can see a future with you, he loves you too much to let go.

He's noticed quite a few things change in your habits.

Before, the two of you always met in between breaks, especially lunch break. Sharing meals and spending time together.
He'd usually pack himself extra, because you always took a portion and he loved feeding you.

But nowadays, you sit alone, far from him amd when he walks over to you, he's treated so...like a stranger? He doesn't like it.
You don't give him puppy eyes or pout when he doesn't feed you, in fact, it's as if you don't care anymore.

Whenever he wants to hangout during recess, you're either busy with your phone, book or friends, what weirds him out more is regardless of important exams, you'd always walk over and pull him into a hug then continue what you were doing.

But now you don't even aknowledge his presence. And when you do, it's just an awkward wave, sometimes you just say hi without even looking at him.

The two of you used to wait for each other after classes ended to walk to the bus stop together, but you keep texting hin to either go without you or you have something and you can't wait for him.

What could havw caused this rift between you two? It's become so obvious that other have taken notice.

"Hey, Jay." He stood alone by the window, zoning out until hearing his friend's worried voice poke from beside him.

"Yeah?"

"What's happening between you and...her?" Jungwon asked, standing beside Jay. "She's smiling less as of late, has like a depressive vibe about her? I don't know man, and even when she smiles it seems so...sad? Well, more melancholic, yeah."

"I...I don't know and she won't tell me. I feel like I'm going crazy. We've gotten through so much together, we've talked through so many problems...why can't we talk it through this time?" He pondered, as he felt another person approach him from behind, patting his shoulder.

"Why don't you ask her?" Sunoo popped out from behind the Jay. High-fiving Jungwon, before glancing back at the boy who's girlfriend is avoiding him.

Jay scoffed. "If it were only that easy, she's been avoiding me."

"Aha, well maybe it's something you're doing that's, probably, making her second guess things in your relationship." Sunoo shrugged, taking a sip of his water.

"What?-"

"Oh, yeah! I was thinking the same thing." Jungwon interjected. "Who's the new girl you've been close with these days?"

Jay was even more confuses now. New girl??

"Who are-Oh! Her??? That's my cousin, why?" Jungwon was doing his best to hold in his laugh, while Sunoo's eyes widened in pure unfiltered shock.

"And does she know that's your, y'know COUSIN???" He sounded alarmed, scolding Jay as he made a "Shit, I fucked up." facial expression.

How did he let this slip? He had texted you if you could wait for him after school, it was am emergency, at the park where you guys always meet up when classes end and you want to rest, with him in nature.

You replied with a bland "okay".

Normally, you'd call him, or text with more worry, but never a bland "...okay.". You've never done that, especially when he writes out emergency.

He thought up a plan and discussed it with Jungwon and Sunoo, to make sure it's good, before going to find the homeroom teacher that he will not be able to attend the last class of today, because his guitar lesson's time shifted to an hour early.

He was always a good student, teacher's favourite, smart, has never skipped class, always studies and has never lied.

The entire day, you felt super down. It's been a few weeks since you've been distancing yourself from him.

You've been feeling a little insecure lately, you know he loves you, but why was he always talking with that girl?

She was flawless, just like him, and you weren't that insecure at first.
But your mind—that never shuts the fuck up—had you overthinking. And his actions only further proved your thought process of, he doesn't love me.

He used to always spend his free time with you, but these days he just spent it with that girl and every tine after that.

Sure he came looking for you, but that was only when you left his peripheral. He'd ask for hugs, yet they were quick and cold, compared to what he used to do.

During class, he always gave you finger hearts and cheeky glances, making you smile, but he's completely forgotten about that the second she stepped in.

And whenever you went over to hug him, he'd give a quick one before following her as they went to ask the teacher for something. He wasn't as attentive to you as he used to be. He had brushed you off several times, it bothered you so much, but you couldn't bring this up to him. What if you were just over reacting and that that's his stupid cousin or something?

So, you just delved into your studies more. Using it as an excuse to not bother him. And your grades had gotten significantly better, you hung out with your, and his, friends more and hurried home instead of staying about afyer school.

So it shocked you, when he suddenly wanted to meet up at your shared secret location. It was where you two had first kissed. Where your first ever hangout was as a couple, the location of your first date.

Upon arriving, you busy yourself on your phone, sitting on the bench you two usually shared.

Hearing footsteps approach, you glance up to see Jay stand before you, a little bag of snacks and drinks in one hand and a bouquet in the other.

"Can we talk? I miss you and I want to clear things up. Let me into your arms, again, please?" He sat down beside you, stunned, your eyes just followed his every movement.

He placed the gifts in the center, opening a water bottle for you to drink, handing it to you. While you hydrated yourself, he reached back into the bag and pulled out your favourite snack—holding it before your mouth—ready to feed you.

With a heavy sigh escaping his lips, he spoke. "I'm sorry if I caused you any mental distress, darling." His empty hand held yours, apologetic eyes shamelessly staring into yours. "I don't want you to think I'll leave you for her, okay? Besides..." As if he read your mind. He put everything aside, pulling you closer to him, his forearm brushed up against yours, as he planted a gentle kiss onto your forehead. "...that...that would be third degree incest."

"WHAT!?!"

He laughed, filling you in on the fact that that's his cousin, so there's no need for you to worry about him leaving you.

"You make me go crazy over you, I could never leave you." He pulled you in for a hug. "I may sound dramatic for this, but just the two of us, and only us. You've helped me so much—and you know too much—I can't possibly let you go." His soft voice, reassuring you.

Which made you feel guilty, so in turn you apologise for jumping to conclusions amd everything, but he shuts you up with a chaste kiss. A petty—yet, romantic—way of saying "It's my fault, not yours."
