The Night

37 8 9

With the stars twinkling bright
And the wind that blew
An atmosphere peaceful and calm
Was witnessed by a few

The sounds of insects so many
Accompanied by the silence of night
As the dim moon lost its struggle
Against the darkness' might

The trees and plants that surround
In a deep sleep were they found
With their leaves stooped down
Unaware of happenings around

And a hoot of the owl was heard
While the bat flew somewhere else
Away from the concrete jungle
A place where the forest dwells

The clouds, too, had witnessed
The things that happened all the while Concluded by the chirping of the birds
And the sun that rose with a smile

The dark half now in light
Rejoiced in the rays of the sun
Cueing to the other half of earth
That it was now it's turn
