This poem was written way back in 2016. It's currently the rainy season in Bharat (formerly, India), but uploading this poem anyways.
_________________________________________Gone is the shower
Leaving us with a shiver
To bid the rain goodbye
Has appeared the winterThe days are getting shorter
The nights are little longer
Keeping us in a long deep slumber
Has appeared the winterIt's time for the sweater
To keep the body warmer
With a breeze so colder
Has appeared the winterThe morning's more hazier
With the mist all over
Blurring the world around
Has appeared the winterDiwali* is getting closer
Christmas a little later
Heralding the new year's arrival
Has appeared a happy winter- Sahil Dinkar
* Diwali, AKA Festival of lights, is a Bharatiya (i.e. Indian) festival that falls somewhere during October and November. The festival has a spiritual significance plus a lot of fun and sweets and snacks associated with it. The curious folks can find more about it on google.
