<<Minho's Povー15th January>>

The soothing darkness of my sleep is interrupted by the familiar ding of the alarm clock that goes off every morning.

I let out a muffled and frustrated groan before sighing and rubbing my eyes. Defeating laziness, I sit on the mattress and stretch my back, sore from the bad sleeping posture.

My bare feet meet the cold wooden floor and I struggle to reach the bathroom, feeling my eyes heavier than ever.

Today is the day school starts again after the Christmas holidays. Holidays, so to speak, because I did the same things I did at school but at home.

My father would keep testing me on the topics of the past few months to make sure I didn't let myself go.

I'm used to this. I don't even have the strength to complain anymore.

I just accept it, my opinion won't change anything, if not worsen things.

If I keep quiet, I don't give material to make my father angry.

It's dawn and it's just me and Felix at home. Our parents are probably already at work.

I look in the mirror and snort at the predictable sight of my heavy dark circles. Now I can consider them an everyday accessory.

I take a hair clip and use it to move away the hair from my forehead. Then I open the tap and freshen my face.

Without raising my head, I place my hands on the sides of the sink and stare at the flow that goes down the drain. My face continues to drip and I start to consider filling the sink and soaking my face in it until I find peace.

The bathroom door opening brings me back from my thoughts. A little blonde head pops out and I want to giggle at his sleepy expression.

<Why the heck is so dark here?> It's the first thing that says, looking around and looking for the light switch with his fingers.

<Good morning, little prince.> I joke with a soft voice, turning off the tap and releasing the tuft of hair that I had trapped with the hair clip.

My brother yawns and rolls his barely open eyes at my tease. He then finally finds the light switch and the moment after, the bright led light blinds me for a few seconds.

I squint, sensitive to the sudden change in exposure.

<Good morning, did you take my brush?> Felix asks with the lowest voice you could ever imagine. It sounded like a monster in a cave.

His sleepy voice never fails to scare me. My eyes finally adjust to the light in the room and I look at him again.

<Do you mean this one?> I ask, turning my head to a red hair brush on the cupboar and grabbing it before running the bristles through my messy hair with an evil smile.
