Alone

(Part 4)

Mias pov-

i woke up to the sound of my alarm. i reached to grab it of my desk but was confused where there was nothing there. that's when i remembered i stayed in my mothers last night. i get up and turn off my alarm before walking up the stairs to say goodbye. my mother was still asleep so i genuinely shook her. "mom i'm leaving for work now. are you going to be okay on ur own?" she sits up and now that's she's sobered up she remembers what happened. "oh Mia hun im so so so sorry i promise i wont let this happen again i mean it this time." i give her at hug "it's okay mom" i walk out the door and get into my car to head to work. once i arrive i step out of my car i feel quite dizzy and realise i haven't eaten anything in 2 days. i brushed it off and told myself id eat at lunch. i walk into the office and of course reece is already there. "Mia" he practically jumps out of his seat the moment he saw me i was a little taken aback a first "yes?" he walks towards me. "What's going on with you and don't tell me nothing because i know ur lying. you haven't been urself recently and you have been wearing the same outfit for 3 days." i was supposed be noticed to be honest. "Reece i told you nothing I'm fine" i knew he knew i was lying but i couldn't tell him the truth. "Mia i know you this isn't you" he knows me? he doesn't know anything about me. "Reece i said I'm fine." i walk over to my desk and start my work. he sighs before sitting down at his own desk. a few hours later i start to feel a bit dizzy again. i promised myself i'd eat at lunch but completely forgot. i decided to go to the kitchen and see if they have any left over food. i stand up and start walking towards the door when my head starts spinning and i feel myself fall backwards. all i heard was Reece calling my name before i passed out.

Reeces pov-

Mia gets up and walks towards the door when she suddenly stops and falls backwards. i jump out of my seat and catch her just before she hits the ground. just then Marjorie walks in. "Marj help i don't know what to do she just passed out." Marjorie helps me life her to the sofa in the office. "should i call an ambulance?" she asks but just then Mia starts to stir. she opens her eyes and looks confused. i was about to say something but Marjorie beat me to it. "Mia are you okay?" i was shocked Marjorie asked her. i think she was a little shocked herself. "yes I'm fine i just need to eat something" Mia says trying to stand up but she immediately has to sit back down. "i'll go get some food from the kitchen" Marjorie says leaving the room. i sit down beside Mia. "please tell me what's going on" she opens her mouth to speak and just bursts into tears. i wrap one arm around her rubbing her shoulder with my thumb waiting for her to tell me. she then tells me everything about what my dad did to her and how she can't leave because of her mum. i was so angry how could my dad do this to her? just then Marjorie comes back with a bottle of water and some sandwiches. "i'll be back both of you stay here" i say before leaving the room and getting into my car.

Mias pov-

Reece just walked out leaving me and Marjorie alone. we have never gotten along and i didn't know what to say to her. it was obvious id been crying. this was so embarrassing. she sits down beside me. "hear my love" she says handing me the sandwiches and water. she asked me what happened and i told her the same thing i told reece. i can tell she genuinely feels bad by the look on her face. maybe she's not so bad after all. we sat there for a while just talking about our lives and really getting to know each-other. she actually made me laugh a couple times. then Reece comes back. "i talked to my dad and Mia ur mum is going to be fine i'll pay for everything" i was so shocked. After everything i had done to the couple they were still there for me when i needed someone. "thank you, both of you. i don't know what i would have done with out yous." Marjorie wraps her arms around me which i wasn't expecting but i returned the hug anyways.
