Everything suddenly didn't seem so dark and gloomy anymore,they have been cleaning up since early morning. The curtains were lifted,lights were fixed and outfits were put to display. Not to mention the rooms which were prepared ,there were all sorts of delights and luxuries within them.
Were we supposed to celebrated something today?
No young master,these preparations are being made for the arrival of the royal family from Nymeris.
A royal visit?
I asked staring blankly at the old house keeper who stood infront of me. She is the closest person to family I had while growing up.
Well ...you see,the kings of both kingdoms wanted to join hands and their daughter is around your age-

No no no,this can't be happening, I began to run as soon as I heard this and ignored Madam Ju who kept calling me back to try to make me feel better.

It's like he doesnt think of me as a person,he didn't even look away from his book while we talked.

I asked,looking at Sieun who just listened quietly to what had happened.

She patted my back. Hearing her voice calling me the nickname she had given me comforted me yet scared me of losing her even more.

Sieun had to go home and I came to the Palace. I needed a way to talk to my father but he wouldn't even listen. It seemed impossible to convince him unless I'd play by his rules. I got dressed up and went into the hall where our family had gathered to greet the guests.
Leehan looked at me and tilted his head,asking if I was alright as my step mother helped my father move his wheel chair and they went outside. I smiled and whispered
Don't worry.
That boy might have been young and naive but he could see right through me and usually I felt happy to share my feelings with him but right now I just couldn't.
The guards opened the main door as our parents led the king and queen of Nymeris inside,we bowed and greated them. They were followed by the princess. She was dressed up elegantly and her presence screamed royalty.
No doubt the princess was beautiful and I'm sure she has a great personality but I already have Sieun,the only girl who can ever have my heart.
We'll be discussing some matters with the king and queen,Jaehyun you should go and show Mia around. Leehan can go back to his room.
As soon as our parents left,I signalled Leehan to not leave me alone. The three of us started walking into the hallways. There was an awkward silence and the girl,apparently named Mia kept staring at both of us. At last Leehan spoke up
Excuse us for the rude behavior my lady. Let us welcome you to Valoria as the princes of the kingdom.
Um well I'm Mia,the youngest princess of Nymeris. Thank you for the warm welcome.
I just kept walking on. Soon enough they caught on with me. The girl seemed a bit relaxed as she and Leehan chatted,after all he's a social butterfly.
So you must be Prince Jaehyun right?
Leehan chuckled and answered
No that's my elder brother,I'm Leehan.
Her expression changed suddenly as our eyes met,I could see that she wanted to run away from this relationship as much as me.
You know what,Leehan why don't you keep our guest accompanied, I have something to attend to.
I ran away,trying to organize my thoughts,leaving my step-brother and my potential future wife staring at me, looking confused .
