The night was longer than ever. The clock ticked upon every second as Jake thought if what he was doing was really the answer. Sieun's words echoed in his mind....what if there was actually a better solution to this. Well ,he was gonna find out the next day for sure.
Morning finally arrived, Jake had finished writing a letter of apology for leaving the previous night and stuck it's corner under a vase on his desk. He took some clothes and gold bits and was about to leave,when he remembered his mother's journal which was the only remaining memory of her.

Sieun's pov
6:30 am
I've stood in the middle of the forest,waiting for Jake. Overthinking got to me with each passing second. Jake was the prince of Valoria, its a huge deal. They're gonna search each alley to find him. He's spent his entire life in a Palace, would he be able to adapt to this peasant lifestyle.
Jake waved at me as he arrived. He saw the look on my face and hugged me.
It's gonna be okay, baby.
We took my backpack and some food from my house. I kept all that I had saved over the years with me,it wasn't too much,but I wanted to help Jake in managing our expenses. I gave my father a hug and assured him that I'll be alright and that I'll keep visiting.
Jake took my hand in his as we left the town from a path in the forest,to begin a new journey in life.
I really hope we can be happy...I do... Its just that something just doesn't feel right.
Author's pov
10 am
The King sent his royal adviser to get Jake,while the families of the two kingdoms waited in the courtroom. Mia sat besides her mother nervously. The advisor soon came back but he was alone.
The Prince is gone!
There was chaos in the royal courtroom,whispers were exchanged and panick spread quickly.
Mia kept sitting in her place as she tried to catch her breath and keep her calm,she finally got up and hurried outside. Leehan ,who had been watching her ,followed.
The King got up, usually an old staff for support.
SILENCE. Each soldier present in the kingdom is to start searching for the prince immediately. Anybody who reports on his whereabouts will be rewarded with gold.
You must not leave any stone unturned.
Meanwhile, Queen Chungha spoke with the king and queen of Nymeris and assured them that all of this will be settled soon.
Leehan's pov
I ran after Mia. She clearly wasn't okay,and nobody in situation would be. I understand what Jaehyun's side of the story,but leaving this way when the girl was trying hard to belong broke her.
Mia stop! Please just hear me out!
