I gasp as I shoot up nearly knocking heads with the Doctor who leans over my curiously. As hard as I try to grasp the images I saw in my sleep they slip from me fast. I groan suddenly feeling all shades of dizzy and fall back onto the rickety bed I was laid on before.

"It's okay it'll wear off." The Doctor says reassuringly, his eyes are filled with concern and I glance up to see Donna as well and crack a smile at her worried face as well.

"I'm not dead you can both relax." I say as I groan sitting up once more, using my hands to prop me up from the dizziness. They're both at my side in an instant to help me off the cot, my legs feel weak and I find the work moving to be incredibly taxing on my body. I use the support they offer without resistance. "So what happened?" I ask as we begin our walk back the surface.

"A lot." Donna says softly as we continue walking in silence, their concern weighing heavy over our group. As we near the TARDIS I see another Ood waiting, this one looking different from the others and instead of anger I feel nothing but understanding. They did what they had to do to escape.

"The message has gone out. That song resonated across the galaxies. Everyone heard it. Everyone knows. The rockets are bringing them back. The Ood are coming home." The Doctor says when we grow closer to them. That's nice, whatever happened at least it worked.

"We thank you, Doctor Donna, friends of Oodkind." He turns to acknowledge me and bows his head slightly. "We apologize for our barbaric actions. Having our own minds stripped form us, it weighs heavy to do the same to another. You must understand. We needed to be free-" I hold my hand up to stop him nodding my understanding.

"It's okay, really. I understand why you did it, and I'm glad I could be of help, even if slightly unwilling." I joke half heartedly, but the Ood seems to understand the sentiment and nods.

"And what of you now? Will you stay? There is room in the song for you." He responds instead and I smile softly hearing the soft harmonies that replace the tragic ballad we previously heard. The Doctor smiles but takes both Donna and I's hands.

"Oh, I've, I've sort of got a song of my own, thanks." He responds glancing at both of us as we smile back at him, I give him a soft squeeze and nod in agreement.

"I think your song must end soon." The Ood states plainly. I think it takes all of us a second to understand what he's saying. I feel the Doctor tense, his muscles in his hand flexing.

"Meaning?" He seemingly grits out, not angrily, but the fear grinds his voice immensely.

"Every song must end." The Ood says simply in response, devoid of malice or negative emotion.

"Yeah. Er, what about you? You still want to go home?" He looks to Donna clearly trying to shake off the eerie feeling the Ood has steered the conversation towards. For a moment I think I can almost physically see him shoving it down, not thinking or acknowledging the feelings that come with the statement.

"No definitely not." Donna responds, understanding his attempt at moving on.

"Then we'll be off!" He laughs gleefully and begins pulling both Donna and I to the Time Machine. Before going inside we all stop to listen as the Ood begins to speak again, feeling the cold wind swirl and taking in the beautiful planet once more.

"Take this song with you." He says as the harmonies once subdued rise and swell into a spectacular demonstration of peace, and hope. The song brings a smile to each one of our faces and a soft patter to our chest.

"We will." Donna responds, and I feel how much she means it in that moment, her words shrouded in clear cut determination and understanding.

"Always." The doctor adds, nodding in respect at the Ood, a pleased look on his face.

"And know this, Doctor Donna and our gifted child. You will never be forgotten. Our children will sing of the you, and our children's children, and the wind and the ice and the snow will carry your names forever." The Ood says and I feel a sense of pride swell in my stomach. Even though I was down for the count, and Doctor and Donna did most of the heavy lifting, I feel honored to be apart of liberating such a beautifully kind race. We all nod once again, taking in the sentiment silently, as no words could encompass the honor we felt.

As we stepped back into the TARDIS there was an airy feel to the atmosphere. For once; we had won, and done the right thing, and it felt good. It boosted morale beyond the stratosphere of Earth. Still though, we all felt it. I saw it in the way we interacted, in the faulty glances when none of them thought the others were looking. A dark sense of dread that seemed to loom over the room. There had been one too many coincidences recently, one too many well placed words, and it felt like it was leading somewhere we might not return from.
