Amanda was looking at a child figure, but his face was hidden with black scratches just like her last night nightmare but this time she could talk. The boy was holding a sharp tool that looked like a glass shard, picked up from the broken vase on the ground. He was putting the glass shard near his neck as if trying to kill himself.

"Don't do it!" Amanda screamed. The boy looked at her. She couldn't see his face but she knew that his eyes were filled with sadness.

"I can't take it anymore! The pain is just too much," the boy said with a sad voice.

"Wait! Please don't do it. Let's talk this out," Amanda pleaded desperately.

"I'm sorry..." the boy said, proceeding to cut his throat.

"Fine, let's have it your way!" Amanda said, a plan forming in her mind. She picked up a glass shard from the ground and put it near her neck. "If you die, I die too," she threatened. "If you really care about me, don't kill yourself."

The boy's determination wavered, and he started crying, dropping the glass shard. Amanda hugged him tightly.

"Didn't I tell you we will get through this together? Please endure a bit longer. I'll always be by your side, H56," Amanda said with a soft voice. The face of the little boy was revealed. It was a small version of Henry's face. His hair was a bit shorter, and his eyes were red, but this time they were drenched in tears, a scene she had never seen before.

"Just remember that your death means my death, and use it to live," Amanda said before she woke up, the sun of the day shining on her face.

"Was that a dream?" Amanda asked herself in a low voice. "No, this wasn't a dream. This is a memory," she realized as the dream was so real. She looked around and found herself covered with a blanket while she was leaning on the bedside. But Henry was nowhere to be found. She looked around a bit more and found a letter.

Dear Amanda,

I'm really happy that I finally started interacting with you and talking to you after 12 years apart. These days were so much fun. I'll make sure to treasure these moments. But now I have to leave. Now that you have awakened, you can defend yourself easier without holding back, finally giving me the opportunity to bring down Kurdrox once and for all. Please forget about me and live your life in peace. I'm sure despite your cursed bloodlust, you have enough will to stop it from taking over unlike me.

Oh, and a small note: my cheeks still hurt from your earlier poking. Don't think that this didn't wake me up.

Have a good life,
Henry.

Amanda gritted her teeth in anger and worry, her hands shaking as she read the letter. "You liar!" Amanda said loudly. She realized this was an excuse. Henry was trying to find an excuse to kill himself. She looked around and opened the wardrobe. She picked up a sword from the pile of weapons. She hesitated at first but knew she would have to steel herself if she wanted to save her guardian.

Henry stood in front of one of Kurdrox facilities, his grip tightening around his sword. He let out a slow, measured breath. "It's finally time," he muttered to himself. As he pushed open the door, two security guards immediately approached him.

"Hey! Who are you?" one guard demanded.

"What's your business h..." The guard's words were cut off as Henry swiftly slashed their throats in one fluid motion. The two guards fell to the ground, clutching their necks in pain.

"What? Did you forget how to breathe?" Henry said with an evil smile. Scientists in the corridor fled the scene, screaming and raising alarms. The sound of the alarms brought back memories of his escape from Kurdrox with Amanda. But unlike last time, the people who came to attack the intruder weren't armed guards. They were trained assassins. Kurdrox had grown, and more subjects had become successful, so they used their assassins for defense.
