AISHA'S POV
The aircraft, which was crammed with people, surprisingly, was mostly quiet. The air hostess had served refreshments and plenty of the passengers had dozed off in the wait for the sunrise.
As my lips parted for a yawn, I leaned my head against the window and silently observed the squabble take place between my sister Mahi, and her fiancé Kabir.
Mahi displayed her nervousness by gripping the armrest and fussing over minor details, all while fiddling with the hem of her kurta. My sister was more concerned about the fitting of her outfits for the upcoming functions than at the thought of leaving us, her family, soon.
"Why are you worried about your lehengas? Aisha and I will manage everything." The youngest daughter of the Malik clan, Kiara reassured from a seat just behind ours.
I gave a tired nod, my lips stretching into a small smile. "Exactly...we will look after everything."
Mahi nodded at our words, but the three of us were aware that she would stress over another problem not so long after.
And we were righteous!
The calmness that took over her for mere seconds vanished into thin air.
"What about the hotel? Will they be able to ace the arrangements?" She asked, nervously.
Kabir and Kiara had booked a hotel, 'The Oberoi villa', for all the functions. Upon seeing the pictures on the internet, the family had approved it. But I was a tad bit hesitant...well honestly, I was very hesitant about my stay.
"Don't worry Mahi," Kabir said, holding her hand. "The hotel is owned by a friend, everything will be managed...relax."
"I am as tensed as Mahi. I still think we should change the location." I suggested and got scoffs and huffs in response from the Malik siblings.
I rolled my eyes, at which Kiara said,"Why are you against this hotel? You have been wanting us to switch locations ever since we chose it..."
I have my reasons and I prefer to stay anywhere except there.
"Yeah, you get very irritated whenever we mention it, what is this all about?" Kabir asked with a raised brow.
Sighing, I turned my head back toward the window and noticed the yellow and orange blending into the dark blue sky.
"That I will tell you about once we reach, not now..."
The three shared a look of confusion at my statement while I in exhaustion, leaned into my seat to sleep, hoping to not be disturbed any further by the bridezilla.

The Oberoi Villa was built like a palace from ancient times, the royal and golden theme made it enchanting. The beautiful paintings, pillars, chandeliers, and large staircases at every corner of the place made Mahi fall in love with it. The unique architecture such as battlement walls, and halls with high ceilings was something that made her feel like a princess from the moment she stepped in. She was absolutely loving it. She could sit by the rivers meandering on the other side of the garden for hours.
Kabir's lips stretched into a smile as he watched his fiancée gush over the small details of the hotel. He was contented to see her happy and not worried as before.
Her worries were understandable to him, she was a desi bride, and she had many things to stress over, hence he was trying to help her ease whenever he could.
Had he known hotels brought Mahi such joy, he would have bought her numerous ones in their hometown.
As the two lovebirds were in awe of the place, a grumpy Aisha paced back and forth on the grass, clicking her tongue and murmuring curses every few seconds.
Upon noticing her state, Kiara stopped taking pictures of the view and approached the frustrated girl.
"Now that we are here, mind telling us your hatred behind this beautiful place?" Kiara questioned, wondering how someone could dislike it.
Mahi and Kabir too walked closer as they were curious as well. The two would have asked her the second they stepped in if they hadn't gotten lost in the experience.
With now several eyes staring at her, demanding an explanation, she nodded.
"Well, months ago I often came to Udaipur as this hotel was my company's client." She began. "Certain parts had gone under renovation and I was managing the project...Things were fine in the beginning but later on, my colleagues and I were often rudely talked to by the staff and we were soon fired without much explanation. All my hard work went down the drain...they didn't even tell me where I went wrong with the designs and just fired me." She spoke, each word tinted in frustration. She summarised it and told the truth.
Aisha remembers the happiness the hotel initially brought her. Despite being in the company for ages, the Oberoi Villa was her first big project, and it was snatched from her without any warning. She has been carrying the hatred inside her for months. She tried to talk her family out of it, but couldn't do much as they had already fallen in love with the venue and had chosen it for all the functions.
Mahi was aware that her sister often visited Udaipur a while back due to work, but didn't know it was for this particular hotel. Now that she looks at the place around her from Aisha's perspective, she realizes why Aisha wouldn't be fond of it as it's not her type. She is known at her workplace for adding her stylish touch to designs and enhancing them.
But for whatever reason, her modernization wasn't appreciated and Aisha dislikes that fact a lot.
"But I don't care, my company and I are too good for this tacky hotel. All of this is too overwhelming to look at. How do people even find this relaxing?" She asked, angered while the rest listened silently. "A six-year-old could design this place better and would be smart enough to not choose such weird artistic pieces...Kabir, are you sure your friend will be able to ace the ceremonies if he can't even decorate his hotel?"
Kabir blinked at the girl's rant, coughing. Evidently, she had many feelings bottled up and plenty of hatred inside her.
"I-I don't know." he stuttered, a bit taken aback. "Have you met my friend though, the one that owns this?"
As Aisha shook her head and opened her mouth to respond to the question an unfamiliar voice interrupted their conversation.
"No, but I would love to introduce myself once my hotel and I aren't being disrespected by her."
