Saira was busy preparing dinner after morning incident she did not want her husband to be angry so she decided to cook his favourite meal.

What did she like to eat? she liked whatever her husband and kids liked. When was the last time she ate something she liked.

It was the day before her elder sister killed herself, she remembers her elder sister took her out to feed her all her favourite food. They ate her favourite shawarma and then she also bought her chocolate milkshake.

She remembers laughing with her sister and joking about how when her elder sister becomes an engineer and then rich she would live off her.

But stupid society and stupid pressure to crack a stupid entrance exam. She still remembers that day, how her sister did not come with them to their relatives home because she said she was exhausted from the studies.

She should have known, her sister seemed very down. Wish she had stayed that day. When they got back home she saw it her sister's body hanging down the ceiling.

Before she could react her mother pushed her into her room locking her there and only unlocked it after five hours, to give her an heartbreaking news.

Her sister had killed herself. Reason unknown

After two days she found a letter, a suicide note.

It said how sorry she was to end her life because she failed an entrance exam. Her sister told her to stand up for herself and not be like her.

Saira's sister never wanted to be an engineer she wanted to take up fine arts but for her parents arts was something that only dumb people did.

Saira let down her sister, she never stood up for herself. She did not do the one thing her sister told her too.

" Amma! Amma!"Her eldest son Veer came running into the kitchen

" Don't run Veer." She scolded

" Shh come here." He gestured so she bent down to his height

" Here, nanna's office had many sweets so nanna gave us some. I bought them for you. You love Kitkat na?" Her son asked and Saira couldn't help but feel immense joy looking at her son.

Sometimes she feels only her children love her like her Akka did.

" Thank you, I'll have it after dinner. Where is you nanna?"

" He's with Ekansh. Amma nanna yelled a lot at Arav today during studies he was very sad." The little boy told

" Is it, then shouldn't we cheer him up?" She asked but deep down she felt bad for a son because she knew he was trying hard to be like his brother.

But Saira did not want him to be like his brother because she wanted him to like himself.

" What should we do Amma?" He asked

" After your nanna goes to bed we'll all eat ice cream together. I asked nannamma ( grandmother) to buy some while coming back from the temple."

" Really!"

" Shh don't shout it's a secret okay?"

" Okay Amma, but Arav is very said he's still crying."

Saira wiped off her wet hands on her apron and went to her son's room
