Matts phone goes off. "Could you get that for me?" He says pointing to the the phone in the cup holder.
I grab his phone and press answer. It was Sara Rose. His girlfriend.
"Hello?" I say once I press accept.
"Hey babe I need to talk to you?" She says.
I clear my throat and quickly state "Oh sorry this is Jake. Matts driving at the moment."
She stays silent for a moment. "Oh, well where are you guys going?"
I look at Matt then back to the front "he taking me home. We'll be there in a few."
"Okay well when yall get there could you tell him to call me again."
I nod my head. And realised she can't see me do that and quickly say "okay I will. Bye." And hang up.
"She needs to talk to you." I say as soon as he pull up into my driveway. He takes the phone from me and redials her number.
"Hello?" He says.
I open the door to leave but Matt holds up his hand and signals me to stay In there. I close the door.
"Um..okay what about?" Matt says nervously.
I look at him with caution. She did sound very nervous and she talked fast.
"Just say it." He says and clenches to the steering wheel.
I look out the window and rub my hair.
"You-you what?" He breaths. "With who?!" He shouts.
I look at Matt and he as a small tear run down his cheek. With a shocked face.
"Sara you cheated on me. No I won't forgive you. With my own friend! How could you." He says sadly. "PREGNANT!" He shouts.
I take his phone from his ear. "Sara don't call him again I've heard enough. Oh and fuck you." and I hang up on her.
I don't care if I sounded rude. I meant it. She cheated on him with a friend. She cheated on my friend.
....
Saturday morning. And the only thing on my mind was Matt. It hurt to have to make him go home like that. Upset and crying. But he insisted that he could just go home.
Maybe Anne and I could help him get better. Or I could just have Anne come over. Wait I can't do that. But I so want to see her.
I pick up the phone and dial the Louis family's home phone. Since Anne doesn't have a phone since I got my first tattoo for her. She lost it and after that she never got a new one.
"Hello?" I say.
Her mom answers "Oh hi Jake. How can I help you darling. Is Matts phone not working?" She says politely cause I never call the house phone unless he doesn't answer his phone.
"Oh no I didn't want to talk to him. I actually needed to talk to Anne." I say quickly.
"Oh well she busy at the time. But I'll make sure she will know. Okay?" He says nicely.
"Alright thank you. Bye." I say and hang up.
....
My phone rings and it's the house phone again. "Hello? This is Jake." I say.
"It's Georgia. What did you need?" She says. And my heart swoons to hear her voice.
I sigh loudly "Um, can you come over? I need to talk to you face to face." I hope she doesn't take this as in awkward.
The line goes silent for a moment. "Hello?"I say hoping she's still on the line.
"Yeah. I'll be there in a moment." She says and hangs up the phone.
...
"Hi Georgia, thanks for coming." I greet her when the door bell goes off.
She walks inside. I hope she doesn't take this a weird. Because we've never every really spoken to each other. Only like a few words.
"I'm sorry for calling so early. I just..needed you." I say though the silence. Her eyes brighten greener.
"Needed me?" She says with a slight cheer in her voice.
I nod and walk into my room. And she follows behind me like a lost puppy. My heart rate rises as I close the door. I sit on the bed and she watches me and does the same.
I was supposed to talk about Matt. But my heart rate rises faster and my minds fuzzes over and words spit from my lips too fast for me to comprehend. "I been meaning to tell you this. Look I like you." I sigh quickly.
She nods and too my surprise." And I like you." She says.
As soon as she says that I grab her hands and push her to my bed softly. Pressing my lips onto hers and she lets me. She kiss me back. In between kisses I lift my shirt off. Ive been dying to do this since I seen her in class again. She reach out and touch my stomach. God how I've missed her touch. I quickly grab her hand and slides it to my pecks. She gasp at the touch. And I leave a smirk on my lips.
I holds myself up with my elbows and tries to unhook her bra. I don't know why I'm moving so fast. But for me this isn't the first time kissing her. But I know this is hers. She shakes her head, But some how it's off and she takes it off anyway. Her shirts still on. I push my hand up to touch her breasts. She shakes her head again. And I take my hand away. But she grabs my hand and puts it back letting out a soft gasp. But within minutes she stops.
She pulls away "We can't do this." She says breathlessly.
"Do what? Make out?" I ask equally as breathless.
"No, all of this. You and me. We can't if you're still dating her." She says frantically.
Oh fuck. I forgot that I'm even dating her. I've had my mind so stuck on Anne I forgot that I had got in another relationship. "Who? Nikky?" I ask confused.
"Yes Nikky. If you're still dating her we can't do any of this!" She says pushing me off of her.
I tugs at his roots and sit on my knees. If I breakup with her maybe she will get with me. She obviously likes me. She quickly clasp her bra back.
I stay silent for a few moment then walk out of the room. If I do I have to act fast. Cause I need her to know in serious about her. I'm in love with Anne and no one else. She been the one in my mind since day one. Since high school. Since I first dated her. I shortly comes back with my phone that I left on the counter when I rushed to open the door.
"Im'a call her right now and break up with her." I say hurriedly.
"Just like that?" She asks.
"Just like that." I repeat.
"No. But you guys just got together. You can't just leave her." She stands up.
"Georgia I can and I will. I want to be with you." I shout moving in front of the doorway.
She shake my head. Grab her keys and pushes me aside, walking out. "But with her you shall stay." Heading to the front door.
"Georgia wait!" I yell.
She open the front door and storms out. What did I just do. I ruined it. But maybe not all the way. I click on Nikky's name in my phone and walk back in my room.
