I highly recommend rereading the previous chapter, as it’s been a while since the last one. Lacuna is approaching its conclusion, and a time skip is foreseeable. Be prepared—a jump of a few years may occur in the upcoming chapters. Our song for this chapter is The Truth Untold.

*Sometimes, the weight of love is the only thing that holds us together, even when the world around us pulls us apart.*

Yoongi spent the entire night wrestling with his thoughts. His father had never asked anything so sudden of him before, and Yoongi felt justified in his unease. Part of him wanted to message Geum-Jae to ask if he knew anything about their father's intentions, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Instead, he gently kissed Jimin's hair, who was still asleep beside him, and closed his eyes. He needed to sleep.

After a series of restless dreams, he awoke to the sound of his phone's alarm. The sunlight filtering through the bedroom curtains made his eyes sting. The spot next to him was empty, though still warm. Following the scent of Jimin, he got out of bed and found him in the kitchen, busy preparing something. His head throbbed, burdened by thoughts that wouldn't quiet down. But the moment he wrapped his arms tightly around Jimin's waist and buried his nose in the nape of his neck, inhaling his comforting scent, the noise in his mind ceased.

"I wish I could just stay with you all day, like that's the only thing I need," Yoongi murmured, his voice laced with longing.

Jimin turned his head slightly, his expression a mix of surprise, admiration, and a touch of shyness. He wasn't sure what to say.

"Good morning to you too," he finally responded, allowing Yoongi to hold him even tighter.

"When do you have to leave?" Jimin asked softly.

Yoongi pressed a few warm kisses to the delicate curve between his neck and shoulder before answering.

"I'll head to the studio in a bit, take care of things early so I can meet my father at the time we agreed."

Jimin didn't respond. He didn't know what to say, and Yoongi wasn't sure how to ease the tension between them.

"I don't know what we'll be doing or how long we'll be there," Yoongi admitted, his voice carrying the weight of uncertainty.

"But I don't think it'll be long. Will you be okay without me?"

Yoongi's soft voice and warm breath brushed against Jimin's skin, making him turn fully to face him, his eyes sparkling with emotion.

"I'll miss you. I always miss you. Even if it's just for an hour, I miss you," Jimin confessed, his tone sincere and without any trace of bitterness.

Yoongi had never imagined that Jimin could love him this deeply. Their relationship had grown more intense with each passing day.

When it was time to leave, Yoongi kissed Jimin thoroughly, yet he knew it wouldn't be enough to satisfy him. As he drove toward the studio, his thoughts lingered on the moment he would finally return home.

At the studio, he didn't feel prepared or excited. Everything had been moving so quickly that he was left with a sense of whiplash, his emotions struggling to keep pace. As he brewed fresh coffee in the studio's small kitchen, a sudden knock echoed through the space. Taking a deep breath, uncertain of what awaited him on the other side for the day, he walked over and opened the door.
