"THIS IS TOO WEAK FOR A HONJU"

Miyako had her scythe plunged into a honju as it's blood splattered everywhere, The creature's core at the mercy of her blade while it's color faded out. She pulled out her weapon with ease and clicked her tongue in annoyance when she realized that half of her platoon isn't going for the kaiju head-on. They had frozen in their spot due to overwhelming fear. She understood them, but it isn't right to just have someone else do their job for them.

"Focus, everyone! Make sure no kaiju survives while we're here, and avoid being a burden to my platoon." She commanded, snapping her members out of their trance as she jumped off of the dead honju. "Right, Platoon leader yozora!" They complied, quickly running towards the incoming kaiju with their weapons in hand. Some even shaking as they held their guns.

Miyako could only sigh as she rested her weapon on her shoulder, multiple kaiju's blood dripping onto the floor. "Yuck.."

She glanced to her side, noticing a kaiju attempting to pounce her as she swiftly swung her scythe through it's chest. The sharp blade pierced through it's core, immediately exterminating it. Miyako scrunched her nose in disgust as she pulled out her weapon coated in the warm blood of these creatures.

"Emergency kaiju alert! Please proceed to a shelter immediately."

The alarm announced all across the odaiba district, warning the civilians to evacuate right away to the nearest shelter. There were screams of people from all directions and soldiers that hurriedly tried to help them from the yonju.

Many buildings have fallen as well as people that ran in the streets of this damaged district. The monsters' screeches and the citizens' screams were all that could be heard.

There were about 4 honju spread out in the odaiba district. There was only one platoon, the yozora platoon. The back-up was said to arrive in about an hour, based on okonogi's word. "Damn it. Okonogi, what's the visual?" Miyako asked, placing a finger on her earpiece as she ran through the abandoned streets with a tight grip on her scythe, all she could hear were the guns and screams of the people around her as she focused on her task.

"A honju is approximately 7 kilometers away from your current location, yozora-san. It's a insect-type." Okonogi spoke through the earpiece, along with the typing noises in the backround. "It has a fortitude level of..7.5?!" Miyako couldn't help but grin at what okonogi had said, while okonogi and the staff currently in the operation room were terrified as they read the kaiju scan.

Only a platoon army or Captain Ashiro and Vice-captain Hoshina could exterminate a Honju with such a high fortitude level. What an interesting find!

"Any update on Captain and Vice-captain?" Miyako asked, rapidly running towards where the honju is said to be located. "Captain Ashiro and Vice-captain hoshina are 30 minutes out." Okonogi replied, her breath slightly wavering. Anyone could hear how nervous she was as she consistently typed on her keyboard.

The fortitude level of the honju miyako defeated a while ago was lower than the honju she was about to face. "How exciting!"

She finally laid on eyes on the honju, It was about 10 meters tall. It had rock-hard skin and the guns of the members of her platoon weren't able to penetrate through it as it just grew angrier with every bullet that was shot.

The honju opened it's mouth, revealing a mouth energy beam as it prepared to launch an attack on them. The members hurriedly tried to find cover to avoid certain death as miyako did the same, quickly preparing herself for impact "Everyone, brace yourselves!"

A straight energy beam was released from the honju's mouth, causing those in the way to perish due to the monster's attack. A sharp ringing noise soon followed after the beam, making everyone wince as they tried to stop themselves from getting swept up from their spot because of the strong beam threatening to pierce through their body.

Within a minute or two, the beam finally stopped. Miyako went straight to her members as she instructed them to go and neutralize the yonju that was still all around odaiba.

"I can handle this, trust me"

Miyako flicked her wrist to spin her scythe clockwise, as the blade then pointed straight at the honju in front of her. "Help the others, Leave this to me" She commanded as her members gave her a salute before scattering around the streets, hurriedly trying to exterminate as many yonju as they can.

"Let's enjoy this, shall we?" She sprints towards the insect-type honju, ready to decapitate it as she swung her scythe towards it's chest

"Unleashed Combat Power: 78%"

The honju had quickly dodged her attack, she had only faintly pierced through it's skin as it screeched at her. Miyako lowered her stance as her eyes scanned the honju, trying to locate where the core must've been.

She gripped her scythe tightly with her two hands as she sprinted straight towards it, using the destroyed parts of the building on the floor as leverage as she launched herself at the monster

"Miyako's scythe style, first form: waxing crescent"

She had slit open half of the honju's right body, revealing the core in it's stomach as it screeched in pain. The kaiju inched away to regenerate, but without wasting a second more, miyako prepared for another attack. Her blade spun continuously as she ran full speed towards the monster, leaping through the air with scythe in hand "You're no fun at all"

Her blade pierced through it's hard skin defense, successfully penetrating it's core as it let out a loud screech of pain while she plunged her scythe deeper into it's now exposed weak-point.

She hovered over the honju as she watched the colors of it's core fade along with the noise the creature released. "It didn't even take that long to kill" She muttered to herself as she pulled out her weapon from the honju's corpse, immediately getting splashed by blood as she quickly wiped the blood off of her glasses.

She placed a finger on her earpiece "Any update, okonogi-chan?" She asked as she got off of the now dead honju. "Vice-captain hoshina is coming to your location as soon as he neutralizes the other honju, yozora-san." Okonogi replied as miyako hummed as a response. "May you please tell him that I've already handled this weak example of a honju and that I'll help my platoon members now?" Miyako said as okonogi did what she had instructed without another word, letting go of her earpiece as she focused on her current mission.

The girl stretched her limbs, hearing them crack as she let out a satisfied groan. Some of her hair strands had fell out of her pin, framing the sides of her face as she tucked them behind her ears with a small smile. Returning her scythe into it's staff form while she prepared to run to help her other members.

"I'm on my way!"

AUTHOR'S NOTE: A short introduction to our main character.."Miyako Yozora". She is naturally a very strict platoon leader but she's kind and she prioritizes teamwork so she never tolerates those who hide in fear and lack of participation as the others do their best to help as much as they can despite their fear of certain death. (mala-group project leader lang po)

This one is just a short chapter about her fighting and leadership skills, but It wasn't very easy writing about it so I apologize if you don't like this one 😭 I'm planning on making her character grow more as the story goes on, don't worry because ichikawa is appearing in the next chapterrr! (he's very underrated fr)
