astrid's pov
watching aurelia walk out of the room i watched kaiden and andrés follow after her making the corner of my lips start to turn up. getting off of aiden's lap i stood, closing the book i put it back in its rightful spot and turned around to the group. "well thanks for answering my questions guys i really appreciate it also it saved me from having to read a really long book" i said with a small chuckle at the end of my sentence.
azreal nodded eyes locked on mine, aiden sat back fully and manspread across the little loveseat, "well what do you guys wanna do while we wait for lunch" i asked. "we could get to know each other better" aiden said a goofy smile on his face dustin had a small smile on his. "i don't know about that, the less we know about each other the better" i said making the smile drop off of aiden's face before he stood up and slammed the door leaving.
dustin just shook his head but got up as well going after aiden, zander and azreal stared at me before coming closer. "why do you and aurelia think we would ever let you guys go" azreal asked after a few minutes. "it's just safer that way trust me these are your families we're talking about and i would never ask you to go against them." i said standing firm in my decisions zander scoffed before also walking out.
"you don't have to ask us to choose because we already made that decision pretty girl we're your mates we would choose you in every situation." i rolled my shoulders back looking him in his eyes. "you don't understand none of you do, aurelia and i will find our chance and we will take it" i said daring him to say anything else before walking off. walking into the direction of the kitchen i could smell the pasta lia had made before i got there.
i stood behind her and put my face in her back while she moved around the kitchen, the room was silent as i just stood in her presence. "what's wrong pretty girl" she asked turning around to look me, "i had a small disagreement with azreal, zander, dustin, and aiden" a sigh leaving my lips. she nodded before cutting the stove off and motioned for me to taste test the food, my mouth dropped while she placed the fork in. "i'm sorry that we can't stay with them astrid everything would be so much easier if we could"
humming in agreement i swallowed the food before reaching up for a kiss, she gave me a few pecks before turning around to fix everyone a plate. "i just wish they would try to understand" i mumbled and helped take some of the plates to the table. lia looked at me and nodded understanding what i meant. just like it must've been hard for them to have us deny them it was hard on us denying them. sitting at the table with lia i noticed all the guys had disappeared, i nudged her and kept a finger over my lips gesturing with my eyes.
she nodded getting the idea before slowly getting up and walking towards the living room, she came back a few seconds later shaking her head, i stood up and walked towards her outreached arm casting a net out to see where they could have went. they were all around the house outside but if we were invisible then they probably wouldn't be able to stop us quick enough. a frown touched my lips at the thought of leaving after a disagreement but we had to take every shot given to us.
grabbing lia's hand i turned us invisible and started walking towards the front of the cabin leaving the food on the table. we reached down to grab our go bags and the car keys before opening the front door slowly. there was no one outside in the front so we continued until we got to the car, slowly unlocking and opening the doors we slid in the car. "if we turn the car on then they will hear us" i said looking to lia.
"give me a second i'm thinking" she said although she was looking out at the path in front of us. before we could move the door was ripped open and i was pulled out by my shirt. lia was pulled in the opposite direction making her let go of my hand, with her no longer invisible i dropped my own invisibility. i looked at the guys who all had bits of disappointment on their faces. aiden didn't even look in our direction, that broke my heart a little.
