You hadn't seen him in person in 4 years. You didn't know how to act or what to say but the excitement mixed with the nerves were making you extra antsy.
You watched him walk out of the baggage claim straight to you and his family but instead of walking up to everyone he stopped put all his luggage down and smiled.
"Come here" he waves you over opening his arms really wide for a hug. You look at his family that is now staring at you and look around you as well to make sure he is talking to you.
"Me?" You point to yourself. Jake smiles which turns into him biting his bottom lip as he nods waving you back over to him.
You ran into his arms as he embraced you tightly and buried his face in the crook of your neck trying to take in your scent.
"God I missed you!" He mumbled on your shoulder lifting your head to kiss your cheek.
"The besties are back!" You giggled as he picked you up and spun you.
"Mhm," he hummed as a response to your comment. You watched his eyes drop to your lips and felt his hand flat on your lower back. The butterflies were brought to life once again in 4 years. He began to lean in closer to your lips when his mom called his name and he snapped out of it.
"Hey I missed you guys" he pulled away from you and hugged his parents. He really seemed to have changed a lot since he left 4 years ago.
Sitting in the car next to him on the way to his house, it seemed like his hand was surgically glued to your knee and thigh. You thought nothing of it and just enjoyed his presence.
Once you got to the house you hop out of the car and help pull Jake's luggage from the back of the car. You noticed his parents not getting out so you took out your key.
"Okay, Jake we are dropping you and (y/n) off and then going to go get the groceries we ordered since you will be home for a few weeks." He looks over at you with a small smile and squeezes your hand.
"Sounds good!" You opened the door with your key that they had given you 6 years ago that still works. You lived next door until 2 years ago but you were still constantly over at their place where they gave you a key and treated you like a daughter.
"Here you go!" You stand behind him as he takes in the decor of the house. He places his things down and takes off his shoes as you follow behind him but with a bit of distance between the two of you.
Layla ran up to him and was trying to lick him with so much excitement that she was jumping like crazy and making these cute little sounds. Jake gets on the floor and pets her until she calms down enough to go lie down.
"So nothing has really changed." His hands find their way to your hips and he pulls you closer and guides you through the hall.
"Things have but nothing you would care to notice." The back of your thigh hit the edge of the couch as you sat and he followed hovering over you.
"I noticed how much you have changed and how much my feelings for you have changed. I understand we talk every day but it's so different when you are right here where I can reach out and touch you" his hand lands softly on your cheek and he caresses your face in his hand as his eyes scan all your features.
"I mean you have changed a lot too" you chuckle nervously.
"(Y/n) I'm gonna kiss you now" he whispers pushing you back so you lay flat on the couch. Your eyes followed his movements until he was a centimeter from your lips.
"Okay" you whisper allowing him the permission he was silently asking for. His lips landed on yours as he kissed you deep and passionately. His tongue tasted like mint from the gum he had and he tried pulling you closer into his body but you two were already as close as possible.
"Jake..." you whisper as he pulls away pecking your nose and forehead in the process.
"Yes, baby?" He asked staring into your eyes.
"What was that?" He smiled ran his hand through his hair and wrapped his arm around you.
"I've wanted to do that for so long and I couldn't hold it in anymore. I can't touch you from SK I can't hug or kiss you so I have to get everything I can in before I leave again." You looked down at your hands since you hadn't told him you got a job in Korea and would be following him soon.
"Yeah, hopefully, I can just go over there soon." You chuckle nervously barely above a whisper.
"That would be great then we would be a normal couple and not long distance." You shoot your head up at his words.
"Wow not even giving me time just assuming I'm yours" he raises an eyebrow and pokes his inner cheeks with his tongue.
"Well I mean you have always been mine I guess we just need to make it official." you peck his lips cutting him off with a big smile. You missed him a lot.
"You are right, I have always been yours."
