A person of few words with the most handsome face you had ever seen. He came into your family's restaurant almost daily since you had moved back down after high school. You were going to college and decided that maybe the US was not the best place for you so you traveled to wherever your parents had settled after your gap year that turned into 2 years.
You stood behind the counter with your headphones on and your textbook wide open doing some work on your laptop.
The bells above the door suddenly rang and you turned your head to see Sunghoon. He was wearing Adidas sweat pants with an oversized white t-shirt and his slides on his feet. You try not to stare but you had never seen how handsome he really was with his glasses on before.
He was accompanied by 2 other people one with brownish hair and the other that was blonde.
"Hey Jay are you here to pick me up?" You look away to Anna holding a broom and dustpan.
"Yeah, and Sunghoon wanted- ouch what is your problem?" The blonde now identified as Jay started talking but got elbowed in the ribcage by the brownish-haired guy next to him.
"(Y/n) This is my boyfriend Jay and his friends Jake and Sunghoon." You greet them with a small smile and then go back to minding your own business.
"Are you the owner's daughter?" Jake pops up in front of you leaning against the counter. You nod taking your headphones off and pressing pause on your phone.
"I am... do you need anything?" He shakes his head and looks back at Sunghoon.
"How old are you?" He bit his bottom lip smirking. You sit back and close your textbook.
"Why do you want to know?" He stands straight up smiling as you raise an eyebrow at him.
"Asking for a friend" his cocky smirk had you rolling your eyes as Sunghoon pulled him away.
"Sorry he's annoying" he bowed his head and pushed Jake away.
"I'm 25 by the way" The heat on your cheeks spread to all of your face.
"Well, I guess we'll have to call you Noona then..." his smile was super cute as you shook your head.
"(Y/n) is fine" You look down flustered.
"You can call me Sunghoon" You looked up as he pressed his lips together in a shy smile.
As the days and weeks went by you and Sunghoon spoke more and more creating this very cute friendship, but it only existed between the 4 walls of your parent's restaurant.
You were the odd one out in the area so making friends and going out has been really hard for you. Anna had become a very good friend but still hadn't gone anywhere with her.
"Hey (y/n) we are going into the city to see the water and light show at the Han River you wanna tag along?" Anna walked into your bedroom and sat on your bed.
"Um... are you sure you want me to go?" You turn around in your chair to look at her.
"Yes, and I'm not the only one that really wants you to go!" She wiggles her eyebrows playfully.
"When?" You asked looking around at your room trying to figure out what to wear.
"Tonight duh. So let's get you dressed cutely." You turn your laptop off and close your book looking at Anna confused.
"Why do I have to dress cute if it's just you and Jay?" Anna smiled and threw some outfits at me.
"Sunghoon will be there too!" Your face turns red at his name but you just turn around and shrug before she can see you.
"So? We are friends and he sees me in sweats and a T-shirt most of the time." Anna takes your hand in hers and shakes her head pouting her bottom lip.
"You two definitely have more than a friendship and tonight will be the night to test it. So let's just get you dressed." 5 outfit options and 4 shoe options later you are finally dressed in a pair of jeans with a black crop top and white button-up shirt on top.
You shook your leg as you rode the subway to the closest station to meet up with Jay and Sunghoon.
"Jay!" Anna yells when she sees him walk up the stairs. Jake and Sunghoon followed as always but Sunghoon blushed as soon as he saw you.
"Hey," he nudges you playfully then wraps his arm around your shoulder while walking to the Han River.
"Hey," you giggle back Nervously. Everything seemed easy around him back at the restaurant but this was not as easy for some reason.
"I'm excited to see the show are you?" He asked as you got closer and started looking for a spot to sit.
"It's my first time seeing it so I am excited as well." Jay picked a spot and we all sat down in that area.
Waiting for the show to start a few people walk up to you all and start chatting.
"Sunghoon who is this?" A thinner girl with a black bob haircut asked.
"This is (y/n)!" You nod your head letting out a small greeting as she scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"This is the girl you told me about. Come on Hoonie I am definitely 10x prettier than her." Sunghoon stared at her with this 'if looks could kill she would be dead' glance.
"I have no idea what you are talking about!" He lowers his voice and octave catching everyone else's attention.
"You know I like you hoonie! And she's just... she's..." Sunghoon raised his eyebrows daring her to finish her sentence.
"You like me and I like her so if you can excuse me we are excited for the light show. I don't want it to be ruined." Sunghoon pulled you up to your feet and walked away from the group.
"Are you okay?" You asked when he stopped. He took a deep breath trying to gain his composure before turning to look at you.
"No, she had no right!" He huffs annoyed under his breath.
"True but she wasn't wrong either!" Sunghoon's face drops as he squats down to look you straight in the eyes. He takes your hand in his pulling you closer to him.
"She was wrong! 100% wrong. You are so fucking beautiful and I want you no one else." You are about to protest when he cups your cheek and leans in to kiss you. It was quick but deep and caused you to begin to melt. You would be lying if you said you didn't want to kiss him again.
"Sunghoon" you whisper almost breathlessly.
"let's go back and enjoy the show okay!" Sunghoon wraps his arms around your shoulders and continues walking back to where everyone is sitting.
"Where did you go?" Jake asks as both of you sit down behind him.
"Nowhere mind your business" Sunghoon smiles pushing Jake to turn back around.
The show began and you stayed next to Sunghoon sharing small kisses and being all cuddly.
"Thank you for bringing me" you whisper leaning your head on his shoulder. He leans down and kisses you softly.
