Ch.24 Stargazing

Vaggie lead Marie to a specific spot in a open field.

"Right here.", Vaggie thought.

"Right here is where we had our first kiss.", she continued again in her mind.

"So we're gonna be doing some stargazing?", Marie asked

"Absolutely."

Vaggie then guided Marie to the spot her and Charlie went to on their first date.

Vaggie then laid down with Marie soon joining her.

"Beautiful isn't it?", Vaggie asked.

"Yeah it really is and it feels....familiar.". Marie responded.

Vaggie smiled, it was working somewhat. 

The two were pointing at various stars and talking about them.

"And that one-", Vaggie was interrupted.

"Paimon's treasure. He discovered that star.", Marie said.

Vaggie's eye lit up, Charlie remembered this! It really is working!

They kept stargazing but Vaggie was kinda trying to gaslight her. She was pointing out specific stars and constellations they looked at on their first date.

She kept pointing star after star.

Constellations after constellations.

After so long staring at the sky, the two started telling jokes.

"And then he said "You're cave? I was dropping bones here since last week!", Vaggie says to which Marie laughed.

"Nice joke!", she said while she laughed.

The former exorcist and the amnesiac princess looked at the sky together.

"This is it...", Vaggie thought to herself, "This is when me and her kissed."

"Marie.", Vaggie said, she then turned to her.

"Yes Vaggie?".

Vaggie started getting closer to her.

"Vaggie?"

She kept getting closer.

"Is something wrong?", Marie worriedly asked, backing up a little.

Vaggie then put her hands on Marie's shoulders and then kissed her on the lips.

She poured all of her love into this kiss, all the time she's been missing her, all the time she's wanted to hug and be with her. All of that love compacted into the this kiss.

Marie blushed as she was being kissed, she'd never been kissed before especially on the lips. 

This felt like a moment in a fantasy romance story where the prince charming kisses the princess to declare his love for her.

After a few minutes of that passion filled kiss, Vaggie unlocked her lips from Marie's before looking at her.

Marie looked back.

"Vaggie I..."

Did it work? Does she have her memories back?

"I..."

Vaggie smiled, "Cha-" but was suddenly cut off.

"I don't think this will work out..."

What...?

"W-What do you mean Marie..?"

Marie sighed, "You're nice to be around but... You're too forward. I had my own plans for the date but you took me to do your plans, you decided where we ate and when we were here you kissed me. It felt nice but just too fast for me..".

"No. Nonono! I-I can slow down!", she pleaded.

"Vaggie I don't think we can be lovers, we can still be friends."

"But Charlie I-"

"I already told you... I'm not Charlie.", Marie got up and started to walk away while Vaggie fell to her knees, tears pouring from her eye...

Back at the Hotel.

Lucifer was anxiously waiting for Vaggie's return. 

"What's taking her so long.... wait... are they having se-"

The doors suddenly bursted open with Vaggie stomping to the stairs, tears leaking from her eye.

"Hey! So how did the date go?", Luci asked hoping to hear good news.

"HOW DO YOU FUCKING THINK!?!?", Vaggie screeched back stomping up the stairs, to her room and slamming the door shut.

Vaggie went to her bed and put a pillow to her face, shouting into it before throwing it away!

She then began to wreck her room, even throwing her spear into a wall, she grabbed a framed photo of her and Charlie and she collapsed crying even more...

"Why am I such a failure...?", she moped.

Lucifer was sitting at her door outside the room, listening to her daughter's girlfriend crying.

He began to tear up and cry too...

(Wow... this is sad for me to write QmQ. I feel so bad for them... but anyway I hope you guys are enjoying this story as I am making it.)
