A Missing Morningstar

Ch. 27 Ulterior Plans

Emily lead Marie to Heaven's Zoo which doubled as a petting Zoo.

The Zoo had a silver and gold esthetic to it just like everything else, all the animals seemed to resemble Earth animals but with angelic flair.

"They're beautiful.", Marie said admiring them.

"They sure are.", Emily said as she fed one of the animals.

The two kept feeding the Zoo animals before moving on to the other exhibits.

"This place is so beautiful! Just what I needed after all that stress..", Marie said relaxing.

"It really is beautiful.", Emily smiled before suddenly a light appeared behind her.

"Emily. I tried calling for you but you didn't answer." The voice behind them said.

It was Sera...

"Wait, Daughter of the Morningstar? Why are you here?", Sera questioned.

"Daughter of who?", Marie asked confused.

Emily grabbed Sera and started to take her somewhere but as she walked, she looked towards Marie.

"Stay there Marie, I just need to have a private chat with Sera."

Marie stared awkwardly before nodding.

Once the seraphims were out of earshot, Sera began to demand an explanation.

"Why is Charlie here?", Sera questioned firmly.

"Listen Sera... Charlie has amnesia, she doesn't remember anything, not even her name. She believes she's a sinner named Marie and... I brought her to Heaven hoping it could help..."

Sera seemed stunned by this news... Lucifer's daughter remembers nothing? The extermination, the meeting  or.... the hotel.

"Yes she should stay here.", Sera responded.

Emily looked in surprise, "Wait really?".

"Yes. She should stay here."

Emily flew up in excitement, "So she'll be staying here!? Amazing! Thank you Sera!"

Emily quickly hugged her big sister. Sera smiled and hugged back.

"I will get things arranged for her. You continue your day with her.", Sera said.

Emily nodded and zoomed back to Marie.

Sera's smile began to fade...

Several hours later in Sera's office. 

Sera was at her desk, when the door opened and 2 familiar people entered.

"The fuck do you want us here Sera?", Adam asked annoyed he had to do some work.

"I have something important to tell you two as this information will be between us and you must follow these orders no matter what. Is that clear?", Sera ordered while standing up.

"Yes ma'am.", Lute said.

"Whatever.", Adam sighed.

Sera knew that was the best she was gonna get from him.

"Charlie Morningstar has lost her memories and believes she's a sinner named Marie."

"Well good, with that little bitch like that, the hotel won't be a problem then.", Adam interrupted with his cocky attitude.

"I'm not finished Adam. Charlie will reside in Heaven from now on to prevent her memories from being restored."

"WHAT!?", Adam and Lute screeched!

"You're letting that filth live here in Heaven!?", Lute shouted.

"If we let her stay in hell a demon will take advantage of her amnesia and with her power it would be a serious problem, as well if we let her stay there her friends might be able to restore her memories."

Lute swallowed her complaints, as much as she hated it, she had a point.

"Well hoopty fucking doo!! We're letting the daughter of Lucifer stay here!", Adam complained.

Sera spread her wings getting Adam to shut up.

"You two will make sure Marie stays up here in Heaven, you will refer to her as Marie, and if you attempt to harm her you will be casted out!".

They both sealed their mouths shut, neither wished to make her mad, but the fact she threatened to make them fallen angels was a whole other level...

"You two are dismissed."

The two silently walked out as Sera sat down, she then looked at a photo of her and Emily.

"... Oh Emily... I hate lying to you..."
