Rain was in a terrible sulk while the Crusaders were sitting down having breakfast. "Why should Patrick be able to boss me around and tell me what to do?" He grumbled. "He is the grandmaster." Replied Kane. "Yeah but I am the Ender Watcher's chosen one." Huffed Rain. "But you're not King of the End yet." Stella pointed out. "And you're here as a guest on someone else's territory so to speak." Added Ciara. "But this is my home too. Why should he be the grandmaster?" Rain said, still complaining. "Lord Patrick is more experienced than you and he was an apprentice of Sir Theo's for almost as long as you've been alive." Kane said only half listening to his moaning.

Rain still didn't think it was fair. "But he can't perform magic like I can nor can he tame a dragon." He argued. "I can perform magic too." Stella cried now feeling hurt. "And you don't have a dragon." Ciara finished off. "Besides, Lord Patrick is ya adopted father and he's only being strict cause he cares about ya." Exclaimed Kane. "Then he has a funny way of showing it." Grunted Rain and he got up and walked off in a bad mood.

"Pft Patrick thinks he's better than me. I can do anything he can do but I can do it better. I'll show him." Rain muttered to himself as he strolled along. As he turned a corner he saw Hilda with a box of papers. Then Rain had an idea. "Hello Commander Hilda, do you think I could take that box of papers for you?" He asked politely. "Um yes if you're quite sure. Just leave them in my office and I'll get to them later." Replied Hilda. "Yes I'm sure and I can help sort the papers out in your office too." Rain said eagerly. "That's a kind offer but I'm not sure if you'll be able to sort it all out but if you could at least group some of it together that'll be a great help and I'll sign everything off later." Hilda said, handing over the box which Rain immediately grabbed and hurried off with it.

He thought that he could easily prove he was just as good at paperwork as Patrick but when he got to Hilda's office he found it was a lot harder than he had anticipated. For a while it seemed easy as he recognised some forms and letters, however after a while he discovered that most of the papers had military words he didn't know the meaning of. "Argh what in the Overworld does this mean!?" He screeched in annoyance. The pile of unknown documents was building up instead of decreasing.

Then he heard a knock at the door. Rain said nothing as he was concerned that Hilda would be cross with him for making a worse mess. The door opened and Lyria stepped into the room and automatically saluted until she realised that Hilda wasn't there. "Oh hello Rain. I just came to clean Commander Hilda's office like I normally do but um I don't want to disturb you." Said Lyria. "No it's alright I'm not having a meeting with the commander I'm just sorting out paperwork for her." He explained. "Oh in that case do you want me to sweep the floor and dust or do you want to do it yourself later?" Lyria asked as she could see that Rain was struggling with the documents but he was too embarrassed to ask for help.

Rain thought hard for a moment as he didn't want Lyria to go away but he didn't want to admit he needed help. "Um it might be a bit much for me to do the cleaning on top of all this." He replied so Lyria quietly got to work. While she was working, Rain continued to make more of a mess of the paperwork. He knew now that he should ask her for help for unlike himself Lyria knew a lot of military terms. As an apprentice of a scholar with access to a huge library as well as having a lot of spare time on her hands she had countless opportunities to pick up such terms and would often help officers out with their messy desks.

Rain on the other hand had only recently become engulfed in a soldier's lifestyle. The war and his position as the Ender Watchers' chosen one had left him with no free time after he had gone through a brief training period after being revived. "Um Lyria do you think you could tell me what BRD means." He asked. "Sure it's an acronym..." Lyria said but was interrupted by Rain's impulsiveness. "Of course I know it's an acronym! We're not in a literature class! Just tell me what it stands for!" Snapped Rain.
