The final exams had finally come to an end, leaving the university campus in a state of collective relief. Students celebrated their newfound freedom with parties, outings, and much-needed rest. For Vivi, the end of exams brought a mix of exhaustion and anticipation. She was eager to spend more time with Sunoo and explore the feelings she had been struggling to understand.
One afternoon, a few days after their last exam, Sunoo and Vivi decided to take a break from their usual routine and go for a hike in the nearby hills. The weather was perfect, the sky a brilliant blue, and the air crisp and fresh.
As they walked along the trail, Vivi found herself feeling more at ease than she had in weeks. The conversation flowed easily, their laughter echoing through the trees.
"I'm so glad we did this," Vivi said, taking a deep breath of the cool, clean air. "I needed a break from all the studying and stress."
"Me too," Sunoo agreed, his smile warm. "It's nice to just relax and enjoy the moment."
They reached a scenic overlook and decided to take a break, sitting on a large rock and gazing out at the breathtaking view of the valley below.
"This is beautiful," Vivi said, her voice filled with awe.
"Yeah, it is," Sunoo replied, but his eyes were on Vivi instead of the view.
Vivi felt a blush creep up her cheeks and quickly looked away, her heart racing. She was about to say something when her phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and saw a message from Lucas.
Lucas: Hey Vivi, any plans for tonight? There's a party at my place and I'd love for you to come.
Vivi hesitated, unsure how to respond. She glanced at Sunoo, who was looking at her curiously.
"Everything okay?" Sunoo asked.
"Yeah," Vivi said, tucking her phone away. "Just a message from Lucas. He's having a party tonight."
"Oh," Sunoo said, his expression unreadable. "Are you going?"
"I don't know," Vivi admitted. "I hadn't planned on it. I kind of wanted to just relax tonight."
Sunoo smiled, a hint of relief in his eyes. "Sounds like a good idea to me."
They continued their hike, the conversation turning to lighter topics. Vivi couldn't shake the feeling of unease that Lucas's message had stirred within her. She enjoyed spending time with him, but it always felt different compared to her time with Sunoo.
Later that evening, as they sat in Vivi's dorm room, watching a movie and sharing a pizza, the doorbell rang. Vivi frowned, glancing at Sunoo.
"Expecting anyone?" Sunoo asked.
"No," Vivi said, getting up to answer the door.
She opened it to find Lucas standing there, a wide smile on his face.
"Lucas? What are you doing here?" Vivi asked, surprised.
"I thought I'd drop by and see if you wanted to come to the party," Lucas said, his eyes flicking to Sunoo briefly before returning to Vivi. "I figured you might need a break after all the exams."
"That's nice of you, but I'm just having a quiet night in," Vivi said, glancing back at Sunoo, who was watching the interaction with a neutral expression.
"Come on, Vivi," Lucas urged. "It'll be fun. You deserve to have some fun."
Vivi hesitated, torn between the two. She glanced at Sunoo, who gave her a small, encouraging smile.
"It's up to you, Vivi," Sunoo said gently. "Whatever you want to do."
Vivi looked back at Lucas. "Thanks for the invite, Lucas, but I think I'll stay in tonight. Maybe another time?"
