The next few days passed in a blur of classes, assignments, and occasional encounters with Lucas. Vivi found herself growing more conscious of Sunoo's presence, always wondering what he was thinking. She decided it was time to have a candid conversation with him about their friendship and the changes they'd noticed between them.

One evening, after a long day of classes, Vivi texted Sunoo, asking if he wanted to meet up at their favorite café. He agreed, and they made plans to meet later that night.

The café was cozy and warm, filled with the soft hum of conversation and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Vivi arrived first, choosing a quiet corner booth where they could talk without interruptions. A few minutes later, Sunoo walked in, his expression neutral but his eyes filled with curiosity.

"Hey, Vivi," he greeted, sliding into the seat across from her.

"Hey, Sunoo," Vivi replied, offering a small smile. "Thanks for meeting me."

Sunoo nodded, taking a sip of his coffee. "Of course. What's on your mind?"

Vivi took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "I've been thinking a lot about us, about our friendship and how things have been changing lately."

Sunoo's eyes softened, and he leaned forward slightly. "Yeah, I've noticed it too. Things have felt... different."

Vivi nodded, her fingers tracing the rim of her coffee cup. "I think it's mostly because of Lucas. He's been around a lot, and it's made me realize that our dynamic is shifting."

Sunoo looked down at his cup, his expression thoughtful. "Lucas seems to like you, Vivi. I mean, really like you."

Vivi blinked, taken aback. "What do you mean?"

Sunoo sighed, his gaze meeting hers. "He's always around you, always trying to make you laugh or help you out. It's pretty clear to everyone that he's interested."

Vivi frowned, shaking her head. "I never thought of it that way. Lucas is just a friend, someone I enjoy spending time with."

Sunoo's lips twitched into a small, sad smile. "Maybe you don't see it, but it's obvious to the rest of us. And... it's been hard for me to watch."

Vivi's heart ached at Sunoo's words. "I'm sorry, Sunoo. I never wanted to make you feel uncomfortable or hurt. I didn't realize how my interactions with Lucas were affecting you."

Sunoo reached across the table, gently taking her hand. "It's not your fault, Vivi. I just... I care about you a lot, and seeing you with Lucas made me feel like I was losing my place in your life."

Vivi squeezed his hand, her voice soft. "You'll never lose your place, Sunoo. You mean too much to me for that to happen."

Sunoo smiled, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. "I'm glad to hear that. I just want us to be honest with each other, no matter what happens."

Vivi nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. "I agree. Let's promise to navigate our feelings and this friendship with honesty and understanding."

Sunoo's smile widened, his eyes shining with sincerity. "I promise, Vivi."

They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, the weight of their conversation lifting as they sipped their coffee. The café's ambiance, with its soft lighting and gentle music, provided a soothing backdrop to their heartfelt exchange.

After a while, Vivi broke the silence. "So, tell me about your day. How were your classes?"

Sunoo chuckled, grateful for the change in topic. "Not too bad. Just the usual grind. How about you?"
