The first week without Suguri was the hardest for Mitsugi. Every corner of the campus reminded him of their time together, and he often found himself lost in memories. Yet, he stayed strong, driven by the promise they had made to each other.

One evening, as Mitsugi sat at his desk, the glow of his laptop illuminating his face, his phone buzzed with a video call request from Suguri. His heart leapt as he accepted the call, Suguri's familiar smile appearing on the screen.

"Hey, Mitsugi," Suguri greeted, his voice a soothing balm to Mitsugi's restless heart.

"Hey, Suguri. How's the new place?" Mitsugi asked, trying to mask his longing.

"It's nice, but it's not the same without you," Suguri replied, his eyes reflecting the same sentiment. "How are things on campus?"

Mitsugi sighed. "Busy, but manageable. It's strange not having you around, but I'm getting by."

They talked for hours, sharing stories about their days, their hopes, and their plans for the future. Despite the distance, their bond felt as strong as ever. Each call, each message was a lifeline, keeping them connected across the miles.

One Saturday, Mitsugi decided to visit one of their favorite spots on campus - a secluded garden behind the library. It was a place they often went to when they needed to escape the hustle and bustle of student life. Mitsugi sat on their favorite bench, the soft fragrance of blooming flowers surrounding him, and pulled out his phone.

He sent Suguri a picture of the garden with the caption: "Guess where I am?"

A moment later, Suguri replied with a video call. Mitsugi's heart fluttered as he answered, Suguri's face filling the screen.

"The garden," Suguri said, smiling wistfully. "I miss that place."

"I miss sharing it with you," Mitsugi admitted. "But being here makes me feel closer to you."

Suguri's eyes softened. "I feel the same way whenever I look at the sunset. It's like we're still sharing those moments."

Mitsugi smiled, his heart swelling with love. "I can't wait until you're back, Suguri. We'll make new memories together."

As the months passed, Mitsugi and Suguri settled into a rhythm. They scheduled regular calls, sent each other letters and care packages, and shared pictures of their daily lives. Each message was a reminder of their commitment to each other, a testament to the strength of their love.

One evening, Mitsugi received an unexpected call from Suguri. He answered quickly, his heart pounding with anticipation.

"Suguri! What's up?" Mitsugi asked, sensing something different in Suguri's expression.

"I have some news," Suguri said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "The project I'm working on is ahead of schedule. I might be able to come back a few months early."

Mitsugi's eyes widened with joy. "Really? That's amazing, Suguri! When will you know for sure?"

"Within the next week," Suguri replied, his smile mirroring Mitsugi's excitement. "I'll keep you posted, but I wanted to share the good news with you first."

For the next few days, Mitsugi could hardly contain his excitement. He went about his daily routine with a renewed sense of purpose, counting down the days until Suguri's potential early return.

Finally, the call came. Mitsugi answered, his heart racing.

"Mitsugi, it's confirmed. I'll be back in two weeks," Suguri announced, his voice filled with joy.

Mitsugi couldn't help but let out a whoop of delight. "I can't wait to see you, Suguri. I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too, Mitsugi. I'll be counting down the days," Suguri said, his eyes shining with anticipation.

The days leading up to Suguri's return were a blur of activity and excitement for Mitsugi. He prepared for Suguri's arrival, making plans for their reunion and looking forward to all the things they would do together.

On the day of Suguri's return, Mitsugi stood at the train station, his heart pounding with anticipation. As the train pulled in, he scanned the crowd, his eyes searching for the familiar face he had missed so dearly.

Then, he saw him. Suguri stepped off the train, his eyes locking with Mitsugi's across the platform. They moved towards each other, the world around them fading into the background.

When they finally met, they embraced tightly, neither wanting to let go. Mitsugi felt a rush of relief and joy wash over him as he held Suguri close.

"Welcome back," Mitsugi whispered, his voice choked with emotion.

"It's good to be back," Suguri replied, his eyes brimming with tears of happiness. "I missed you so much."

They pulled back slightly, looking into each other's eyes, and then shared a tender kiss, sealing their reunion. It was a kiss filled with all the love, longing, and hope that had sustained them during their time apart.

As they walked out of the station, hand in hand, Mitsugi knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, their love would continue to guide them. Together, they were unstoppable, ready to face the future with hearts full of love and determination.
