Chap 7 - Paper boy

THIRD PERSON POV

          Y/N was walking on the sidewalk (She was alone again since Leo had an appointment with a dentist) while looking at the pavement then she saw a missing poster on the ground she picked it up and recognized the boy's face, it was Griffin. She felt her heart sank, tears rolling down her cheek as she gripped the paper so hard it was crumpling. Bruce was also walking in the same direction as Y/N and he saw her, he smiled when he noticed it was Y/N but when he walked closer, he realized she was crying. When he got close enough, he tapped on her shoulder she spun her head towards him. She hugged him making Bruce stumble back a little then embraced her. 

Bruce pov:

     "It's going to be alright Y/N" I patted her back pulling her close as she sobbed into my chest. She pulled away a few minutes later I was a bit disappointed when she pulled way, she wiped her face with her arm "Sorry I stained your shirt with my tears and snot" She said I let out an 'O' as I looked down on my shirt "It's alright! Don't worry" I said then wiping a tear from her cheek, she closed her eye as I wiped it, I couldn't help but think it was cute.

We started walking toward the school "So what happened?" I asked I notice her face saddening "Oh I'm sorry you don't have to answer it's okay" I puy my hand on her shoulder "It's fine" she said as I smiled, she sighed as she started to talk "Well as you probably know a kid went missing yesterday" I heard her voice crack as she stopped walking "Well that kid was" she paused "My friend. Griffin Stagg" she continued; I heard her starting to sob again, I embraced her as I leaned on the fence. She rested her head on my shoulder, she slowly stopped crying, I handed her a handkerchief from my pocket. I saw Finney, Robin (It think that was his name) and Gwen walking toward us.

"Y/N!" I heard Gwen's worried voice say as she gripped Y/N's arm tightly "What happened! re you okay! Did Bruce make you cry!" Gwen glared at me as I hear Robin crack his knuckles "No. no" I heard Y/N say as she removed Gwen's tight grip off her arms "So what did happen?" Finney asked as He stood next to me. Robin was rubbing Y/N's back while Gwen on the other hand was still glaring at me. After Y/N explained everything, they all softened trying to comfort Y/N. We didn't realize it but we missed our first and second period.

SKIP TO LAST PERIOD

Y/N'S POV

As I walked into gym, I look at the corner where me and Griffin would always sit. It felt empty without him, I miss the way his eyes would sparkle whenever he talked about his favorite books, I just wish they'll find him soon.

LEO'S POV

I just got home from the dentist. I noticed my sister seemed a bit down, she didn't even roll her eyes or punch my shoulder when I asked her about her boyfriends. "Are you okay Y/N?" I asked her, putting my arm on her shoulder "I'm fine" She weakly smiled her voice was cracking tears form in her eyes, now I know something was wrong. "Let's start gardening" I said as I pulled her outside. There were some shovels and other gardening tools on the side of the house, but I realized we didn't have any seeds "We need seeds" I looked at Y/N "I think Grab 'n' Go has seeds" she said looking own on the grass "Then I'll race you there" "Alright bet!" She finally smiled, and I did my job as a big brother. We both ran towards the Grab 'n' Go, by the moment w got there I was already out of breath, and it looks like she won "I totally lost on purpose" I said hands on my knees trying to catch my breath as we walk into the store.

Y/N'S POV

Vance obviously at his normal spot playing pinball. Man, that guy is an addict I swear. I was at the soda aisle while my brother is buying seeds for the garden thing. little did I know my brother didn't tell me that I look like shit, my eyes were puffy because of crying. I looked at the pinball machine from the side of my eye and Vance was no longer there I turned my head towards the machine "Looking for someone" heard Vance say I jumped at his voice, He was leaning on the glass door of the soda shelf while looking at me his eyebrow raised, he pushed himself off the glass and walked closer to me reaching something from his back pocket. I was expecting him to pull out a switchblade instead he pulled out a candy bar my favorite candy bar to be specific and he extended it to me "Here" he said looking away, I took the bar slowly while in disbelief like everyone else around us. "He walked back to his machine while I stood there shocked.   

Later on, I was peacefully planting some seed, but my peace was interrupted by a newspaper hitting my head, I rubbed my forehead while lying on the grass my brother was too busy laughing his ass off. A dog and a boy ran towards me, the dog licking my face as the boy was looking down on my face, he looked pretty worried "I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" he said helping me sit up "Yeah my forehead just hurts" I said rubbing my poor forehead. I took a good look at the paperboy, he wore a red letterman jacket and had slicked back blonde hair, he was pretty cute too he looked a little like... Griffin... I shook my head "Are you sure you're okay?" He asked again I just smiled at him softly "Like I said I'm okay don't worry" "Okay then I'm going to go I still have papers to deliver, bye uh?" he tilted his head "Y/N and you?" "Billy, Billy Showalter" He smiled as he got on his bike The dog following behind him. 

After we finished gardening, I took a quick rinse off to get the dirt and grass off of me. I changed into some PJs and laid on the couch while Cam was watching a show call 'Jovie and the Pussycats' weird name for a cartoon show for kids but alright, I guess. I start drifting off to dreamland
