Chap 16 - Bruce's game

Y/N'S POV

I woke from a horrid nightmare; I shot up from my bed holding my chest. It was about the boys again. I went to the bathroom to wash my face. I looked at the calendar and realized, Bruce's game is today I guess I'll come I mean I already promised Bruce, wouldn't want to make him sad. 

I walk downstairs to see my parents in the kitchen, finally their home I'm gonna go insane if I spend another day alone with my brother. 

"Hey ma" I said walking into the kitchen for breakfast, my dad was sitting on the table reading his newspaper as usual. I grabbed a bowl and poured my cereal and milk "Another kid got grabbed you better watch yourself out there Y/N" My father said with his usual stoic voice, it sounded like he didn't even care. "Yes dad" I mumbled sitting down on the table, next to me was Camy on his highchair eating his animal crackers. Leo walks in his hair was a mess, he obviously just woke up "Mornin" he said as he grabs cereal and milk, he poured the milk first and I gave him a dirty look. He sat down next to me "Bro" I said, and he turned his head to me raising his eyebrows as he shows a spoonful of cereal "Bruce has a baseball game later wanna come?" "Bruce?" he looked at me confused "Bruce Yamada" I replied "Ah one of your boyfriends" Fucking loudmouth, my dad folded his newspaper and looked at me "Boyfriend?" My mom smiles "No mom he's just a friend" I shot Leo a glare he mouths the words 'sorry' "Anyways sure I'll come" He spoke up. "Who is this Bruce Yamada" My dad raised one of his eyebrows "Uhm he's a friend dad he lives few blocks away" I responded nervously; he nodded going back to his newspaper. I let out a relieve sigh.

After breakfast I took a shower, I rummage through my clothes, I picked out a brown turtleneck and dark red shorts. I wrapped a f/c bandana around the top of my head (not around your forehead). I put on light make up like mascara and lip gloss etc. etc. I went downstairs and waited for Leo's slow ass. While waiting there was a knock on the door, my mom opened it "Y/N your friend is at the door" she shouted, I went to the door "Finn!"  I smiled brightly "H- hi Y/N" I invited him in "Sorry Leo is kinda slow" I said rubbing the back of my neck "It's uh okay" He smiled.

After an eternity Leo have finished. "Is Gwen coming too?" I asked slipping on my shoes "Yeah but she's at Amy's house right now" He answered, and I nodded. 

We got to the game; we looked around the bleachers to find a seat. We sat on the top of the bleachers as the was starting. I looked around trying to spot wherever Bruce was, I waved when I finally found him, he smiled and winked. Now it was Bruce turn to play, he took a deep breath and took a quick glance at me, I gave him 2 thumbs up, he smiled then turned his head back to the game. I look around, seeing Donna I instantly looked at Finn, I nudged his shoulder and pointed at Donna. His face went completely red, I laughed at his face.

FINNEY'S POV

        Y/N seems so close with Bruce, I mean it won't be a surprise if she likes Bruce, he is a pretty nice guy and is handsome, he's very outgoing too. I was zoning out of nowhere then Y/N suddenly nudging me, she was pointing at something well more like someone, I looked at who she was pointing at, it was Donna. Does she still thinks I like Donna? My face turned bright red due to embarrassment. She waved Donna over shittt. "Y/N!" "Donna!" They hug each other "Oh hi Finney" Donna waved and I waved back shyly "Oh by the way this is my brother I think you haven't met yet" She introduced Leo to Donna, I looked at Leo he had a smirk on his face "Hello" He spoke up Donna giggled "Nice to meet you" Donna smiled ear to ear I guess she's flattered by Leo, I didn't quite care. "Oh uh I'm kind off sitting with my other friends is it okay if I don't sit with yall?" Donna pointed to her back with her thumb "Oh yeah it's alright" Y/N smiled at her patting her shoulder. She is just so nice and sweet. Donna went back to her group of friends and Y/N sat back down next to me "She's pretty" I heard Leo say "Leo!" Y/N glared at Leo "What just saying the truth" He shrugged "Sorry bout him" She looked back at me, and I couldn't help but blush "I-its alright" I gave her a smile, a quite goofy one.

Y/N returned on watching the game I tried focusing but I couldn't my mind would always find a way to linger back to Y/N. She was cheering Bruce on, when he hit the ball and made a homerun, she spung up in the air screaming.

Y/N'S POV

"WOOO!!" I screamed as Bruce hit a homerun, he won!! Once people started to leave Bruce came up to us. He held me tight and spun me around "We won!!" He said so proudly and happy "Congrats Bruce!" I chuckled he finally put me down. "Sorry bout that" He rubbed the back of his neck "Its alright Bruce" I patted his shoulder "I'm gonna go celebrate with my teammates bye guys!" He said running back down to the field.

"let's go home?" I asked Finn nodded as Leo started walking. Weirdly enough I still have that eerie feeling even though Bruce already won the game but again maybe it's just nothing... right? 

We arrived home I invited Finn over but he said "Sorry Y/N I kinda have to help Robin again in math" "Oh can I help?" I asked "Oh yeah sure" I smiled and followed him to his house.
