We only see each other at weddings and funeralsBreathe in.
Breathe out.
Beatrix Hargreeves closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, before she opened her eyes and plastered a wide smile on her face.
Her girlfriend and make up artist Harper gave her a smile as she finished up the last finishing touches on her face, lightly tapping powder into Beatrix' skin so that it wouldn't be too shiny on stage.
"Good luck." Harper told her with a grin, pressing a kiss to her hand so that she wouldn't smudge the make-up. "Not that you need it. Show them how it's done!" She handed Beatrix her earplugs, who took them and put them in.
Beatrix smiled at her girlfriend. "Thank you, I love you. See you in two hours."
She ran onto the stage with a bright grin on her face, the crowd erupting into loud cheers once they saw her.
"Hello Ladies, Gentleman and none of the above and welcome to the show!" Beatrix yelled into the microphone. "The first song of the night is dedicated to the one and only man on the moon. This one's for you Luther!" She yelled, looking up at the sky where a full moon was brightly visible. She smiled for a second, before she broke out into her first song of the album: I heard you were looking like the moon.
Harper watched her from the side with a small smile for a while, silently admiring her girlfriend. Beatrix' phone, which she'd given to Harper for safekeeping, made a small ping indicating that she'd gotten a message.
Harper glanced at the message, before her eyes widened and she over looked at Beatrix with a concerned glance, who was singing her last song of the show.
Once the concert was over, Beatrix got off the stage, an exhausted, but happy smile on her face.
"Wooo! We did it!" Beatrix cheered.
Harper didn't match her smile. "Bea, your brother texted. Something's happened." She said quietly, holding out Beatrix' phone.
Beatrix' smile slipped off her face as she took her phone, reading the message quietly.
"Well fuck." She said out loud, looking at her girlfriend in shock. "Guess I'm going home."

Bea parked her car in an alley next to the mansion. She checked her glovebox for her earplugs, taking them out and putting them in her pocket, just in case.
She closed her eyes.
"You can play in front of thousands of people. This is nothing compared to that." She told herself. "It's just your siblings."
"Just your siblings." She repeated in her head as she walked over to the mansion, letting her eyes scan the building she hadn't seen in years. It hadn't changed at all.
With a nervous sigh she opened the doors and stepped back into the familiar hallway.
She was immediately met with the sight of two of her siblings. "Bee!" Allison grinned. "Wow look at you! I'm loving the hair!"
Bea smiled at her sister. "Hey Ally. Long time no see." she said, giving Allison a quick hug.
"Hey Bea." Vanya said nervously.
Beatrix gave her an encouraging smile. "V. It's good to see you." She took the few extra steps to gather both her siblings in a hug. "I've missed you two."
"You- You're not mad?" Vanya asked her nervously, knowing that most of her siblings didn't take it too well that she'd published a book about them.
Beatrix looked at her with a sigh. "No." She shook her head. "I was. What you wrote wasn't nice, but I understand why you did it. Not like my songs are any better anyway."
