The brown bear sat sideways on the ground, not turning to look back.

Wen Qing stared intently at the large back of the brown bear. Around its neck, the fur was white, with faint hints of red mixed in.

Wen Qing blinked and gestured for Ye Ye and Li Ran to look at its neck.

There was a red string.

Ye Ye squinted and walked straight ahead.

He didn't bother to walk quietly, even stepping on and breaking a few branches.

The brown bear's round ears twitched slightly, indicating it heard the noise, but it still sat there, unmoving.

Seeing this, Ye Ye motioned for Wen Qing and Li Ran to follow.

Although the instructions at the bear pavilion stated that black and brown bears were gentle, it's better to be safe than sorry.

The three of them didn't get close to the brown bear, instead walking out of the bear pavilion from a distance of about ten meters.

Just as they stepped out, Wen Qing heard the sound of dry leaves crunching. Turning around, he saw the brown bear moving.

It shifted its butt, turning to face the three of them, its black eyes staring at them. Then it turned its head, looking at the scenery by the roadside.

It just sat there, as if appreciating the view or waiting for something.

Li Ran sat down on a stone by the roadside, staring at the brown bear for a while before speaking softly, "Why is it sitting at the exit? It scared me. I thought it was intentional."

Wen Qing examined the brown bear and said, "It seems like it is intentionally sitting there."

"It looks like it knows this is the exit, so it sat at the boundary."

Li Ran was stunned, looking at the brown bear's feet, which were right on the line of the stone tablet.

"Can't it come out?"

Li Ran was puzzled, "I remember the park was supposed to be open."

Wen Qing looked at the red string around the brown bear's neck and slowly said, "If those with red strings were once human, they might have other rules to follow."

For example, they might not be able to leave the pavilion.

Ye Ye added, "The open park is only for the animals."

Li Ran thought for a moment and then asked, "But we haven't seen any animals come out either. The monkeys in the ape pavilion also stayed inside."

Ye Ye glanced at her and reminded, "This park follows the principle of natural selection and survival of the fittest."

Wen Qing pursed his lips, "The animals probably know it's safest to stay in their own area."

He paused, unable to figure out what those transformed into animals wanted.

Li Ran pondered for a while, trying to analyze, "The little monkey was preparing a birthday cake, like it was celebrating someone's birthday. The polar bear was angry, and this brown bear..."

She looked at the brown bear and slowly said, "Seems like it wants to come out."

"They're each doing different things."

Ye Ye shook his head and slowly said, "No."

"They're just doing their own things."

Wen Qing was momentarily confused, then slowly realized, "They're just staying in the zoo."
