I woke up with el and the rest of the party gone I scurried out of my sleeping bag, ran up the stairs "E-" I let out a sigh of relief, when I see the curly headed girl staring at the toaster waiting for the eggos to get done, el turns around waiting to see why I called her name "oh, there you are" I glanced around the room "where are the boys". "Tv, Liv-ing room" I looked to the living room. There they were just playing some random video game, usually I'd join them but id rather stay with el. She's nice to be around.

"Do you want some actual food you're gonna need it the next time you flip a van" I say as she turns around with a smile, I noticed she's always happy, at least when I'm around her -except in the bus but that was mikes fault-. She tilts her head slightly out of curiosity, I look to the pantry where I assumed the food was. "Okay, let's see what is in here" I say as I'm rummaging through the pantry, el is still eating her eggo. Which reminds me, I haven't really seen her eat anything except like two things.

"Okay, maybe some cereal" I say while holding some generic cereal. El frowns, I sigh a little frustrated, but I couldn't stay mad at her. I looked at her again and I wasn't as mad. "El, you have to eat something, okay? I don't want you passing out from only eating eggos." I say while I grab both of her shoulders "promise?" She lists her head up and frowns "what's a pro-mise" she replied out of curiosity. "A promise is, something that when someone says they'll do something they do it" I replied. She nods, I smile as giving an 'okay' than I leave going to get dressed.

2 DAYS LATER

We went to the school to hide out, it was fall break and no one was in the school. "How are we going to get in? We can't just break in" will says, he was always the one to be hesitant when we did stuff like this. "Will, its perfectly fine no one is going to know" I said to will reassuring him. "I can open it" El said stepping forward, I turn "No, el we don't need to waste your energy on small thing like this, Can't we just, like break the door open" I argue not wanting to use el, on this even though she might disagree.

"I mean, yeah, but how" Mike says stupidly like that was an option "a rock?" Dustin says. Mike shrugs and picks up a rock, chucks the rock at the door, and the glass door shatters. I protectively put my arm across els chest as if that could protect her, -I mean she really didn't need protecting, honestly-. We walk in to the gym, set down our food. " You know those pudding cups, I bet they have them" Dustin says to Lucas, they walk out the gym mike and will follow looking at each other like how I sometimes look at el. El notices and turns to me " Why are mike and will looking at each other like, did they do something bad?" El says I smile at her being so innocent. "Well, sometimes when two people like each other they look at each other all lovey dovey, it's usually a boy and a girl. But some boys like boys and some girls like girls, but some people don't like that" I explain to el. "Why don't people like that?" She says. I squint my eyes trying to think "I don't really know".

She turns to the middle of the gym, from where we're sitting on bleachers. "How do you know you like someone" el says "Well you want to be with them all the time, you like their smile, their laugh, and no matter how weird you are to them, you know they'll like you still" I replied.

"Do you like someone" el says. Im surprised, and my cheeks flush. "I think so, but it's a secret" el nods.

"How do people show they like someone" el keeps her eyes on me, and the eye contact stays the whole conversation.

"They can kiss, hug, go on dates. There's all kinds of stuff"

"I think I like someone" el says, she scoots a little closer to me. I want to ask who she likes but my mouth Is dry. I think I know who she likes.
