El's eyes flicker to my lips and she leans in. And then her lips touch mine, I don't kiss back immediately out of surprise, but I eventually do and I grab her waist. It's clear she doesn't know what she doing, so I guide her hands to my waist. Her hands rest on my waist. My hands leave her waist and up to her curly brown hair and lightly grab it. She doesn't want to pull away and I don't either but the gym door bursts open and we pull away from each other.

Her hair is ruffled but the boys don't notice. Both of our cheeks are red. "We found the jackpot of pudding!" Dustin exclaims excitedly, dropping all the pudding on the ground. Dustin turns to me "why are y'all acting weird" He points to me and el "Uh n-nothing, Wh-hy would you ever think that?" He definitely didn't buy it. El looks like she's in another planet.

"Hey. El you okay. You look like you're not on earth" mike waves his hand in front of her face. El focuses back in. She looks at me and back at mike "Im fine" she says "good, we don't need our main protecter to be unfocused" mikes comment didn't set right with me, but I decided to not to say anything. Lucas and dustin had already downed like five cups of pudding will had one, and wasn't even done with it. Will has always been different, he was always my favorite. I handed el a pudding cup. She has me open it for her. She eats the pudding really fast, I like how she likes to experience new things all the time. She later puts down the pudding cup and just grabs my hand and interlocks our fingers. I look up to her eyes and her still ruffled hair. Which brings me back to our kiss which makes me want to kiss her again so badly. What interrupts me is a loud bang.

"What the hell was that?" dustin says while looking up from his seventh pudding cup. He stands up "I'll check the gym you check the cafeteria, rest of you check classrooms. Go! Go!" a grown mans voice calls out I stand up from the bleachers still holding els hand "Oh, Fuck! Its the government they found us

"What we gonna do dude! I don't wanna die, Im too young to die!" Mike yelled, he was pacing around. "Shut up you're not going to die. We might if you keep on yelling" Lucas whisper yells at mike

I look around trying to find us a way out. My eyes land on the doors. Doors! That's how we can get out. Currently we are crouched down, Me and el are holding hands. "We need to go to those doors, but quietly!" The party nods.

Running in a crouched stance we get to the doors but we didn't exactly escape. We see the government. A middle aged white lady with blond bob cut and the rest are military personal, all with guns pointed at us

"Give us the girl and we'll let you go, we don't want to hurt you" the lady in middle said to us "Hell no! We're not giving her to you! El's not some lab rat you poke and prod with needles and treat like some experiment. She a living breathing human" I yelled at the lady she didn't seem to happy. I was about to open my mouth but el stepped forward. El pushes out her hand and the lights begin flickering. I didn't know what was happening neither did the party. El focuses in on the government in front of us and their eyes start, bleeding? El drops to ground with the government

I catch el before she falls and carry her to gym and prop her against the wall "God, El don't die on me now please! Wake up please!" The party standing behind me. I shook her shoulders in desperate attempt to get el to wake up.

Els eyes flicker open. "maxie?" el says in a groggy voice her eyes looking around "Oh thank god you're alive." I pull her in for a hug my nose nuzzling in the side of her neck she puts her arms around my waist, she pulls me in closer in the hug.

"Come on, let's get you out of here" I say while pulling her up her arm goes around my shoulder and mine goes on her waist. I lead her out the gym with the party.
