Shubh please pick the goddamn call!!

I was praying inside my heart trying to call Shubh while lying on the hospital bed as tears flowed from my eyes.
I couldn't hold back my cries.
Oh Shubh please pick up the call-
But before the next ring could go, he hanged up the phone.
I should have known, he's had gone to Vancouver just yesterday for the branch meeting and I-
The door of the hospital room slammed so badly that it made a bang sound.
The nurses got scared but there he was.

He rushed towards me and instantly cupped my face.
"What happened Sohneyo? You're alright right? Please tell me everything is fine! Why are you crying?! What happened?! Is there any-"
"We're having twins."
His hands that were holding my cheeks now were on his own mouth.

"A-are you serious-"
I nodded aggressively as tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Look there! Our babies!" I pointed at the screen.
I'm 9 weeks pregnant.
And I had an appointment with doctor today.
It was not a planned one.
But an urgent one.
"You have no idea how happy I am-" he whispered and bent down to kiss my stomach.
My baby bump doesn't show yet. But still he takes care of me like anything.
"Look there, they are moving!" He said like a baby and pointed towards the screen.
"Our kids" he whispered.
"Oh god Anaya you gave me the best news ever!!" He bent down and kissed my forehead.
"I am so happy!!"
"You gave this happiness to me! Not otherwise!" I cried.
"Sir, do you wanna know the gende-"
"NO!" His attention went towards the doctor from me.
"No please." He calmed down.

"I dont wanna know anything except if they are healthy or not."
The doctor smiled and said,"they are completely fine. You do not need to worry about anything! And congratulations!!"
"Thank You." He smiled back.

And then looked at me with another type of smile.
